Too Inconsistent

It is really good looking but performance has been disappointing, to be honest. Touch seems to be touchy when unlocking so we switched to open upon approach and the timing of that works great sometimes and others has you waiting and touching and sometimes reaching for a key to open. Also, we’ve already replaced a battery, much quicker than expected.

Not there yet

The touch feature is unreliable. I’ve never had success programming or using one of the key cards. Great idea but the execution is lacking.

Level Touch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed the level touch a year ago and it has worked flawlessly. It fit inside my current door hardware and can’t tell it is there. Hidden elegance, perfect smart automation.

Fearfully unreliable

It was very hot-or-miss when it came to geofencing. But in spite of everything else, the random UNLOCKING generated a “This gets replaced TODAY.” We bought something a tad lower tech and never looked back.

Being able to quickly lock my door when I leave with just a touch of my finger is great and I no longer have to keep my keys out. Cornerstone of the Smart Home

I have three Level touch locks. I previously owned multiple versions of August locks. While the Level lock is more genuinely more difficult to install, my main issue with the bulky August locks was that guests weee unfamiliar with the locks. It made for uncomfortable moments when guests were trying to leave and could not figure out how to open the door. The familiar design of the Level lock makes it an cornerstone of any smart home. Promising tech, but disappointed after buying two.

The hardware is great if your door latch and frame fit perfectly. Also, the home automation and corresponding data is very fickle. To use with HomeKit you need to place near a HomePod and to see past activity you need to be within Bluetooth range.

Good looking lock with great HomeKit integration.

I think the touch is nice though it can get disconnected at times... leading to some minor frustration. The HomeKit integration works really well, and that's what I use most of the time. And it looks like a normal deadbolt which is a win for me.

When it works it’s perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s so convenient, I just wish the hotel style keys or the touch to unlock features worked more reliably. Sometimes it’s instant, sometimes it takes 3-5s, sometimes it just won’t work. But for a smart lock that’s stealthy, and touch to lock feature alone, it’s worth it.

Level Lock Touch Addition is a hit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the smart lock that I have been looking for. It's small, compact and discreet for a city apartment that has restrictions around using specific locks.

Unreliable and unusable

It is unreliable, you cannot leave the house without physical keys as the app does not recognize the state of the lock in real time, and often freezes making it inaccessible.

Lock has a mind of its own

Very flawed

I am simply unable to get the touch to unlock when I return to home to function correctly. It is completely inconsistent and extremely frustrating.

Touch to unlock works less than 25% of the time

There is no rhyme or reason for when it does to doesn't work. The geofence never worked. I couldn't get the touch cards to work. Couldn't get 2nd lock to pair with Apple Homekit. Great when it works

The lock itself is beautiful. Installation was really great too. Unfortunately, the touch to unlock part is super unreliable. I’ll regularly have to stand at the door for 30+ seconds touching and hoping for it to work. I ordered it with the OMNIA lever. It looks pretty but comes loose and requires retightening regularly.

Had high expectations ... they were all met!

Finally a smart lock with the features I wanted. - Homekit-enabled - compact and discrete (yes, plain-looking has it's advantages) - brass design - adheres to the existing standards (ships with all necessary hardware to fit the two different offsets) I am really happy with my purchase. The touch works great. The RFID cards work great. No complaints, none.

Convenient and easy to use

Very happy with this product. I always unlock my door using the new keychain tags, super convenient. I shared them with some relative when they were staying and no complains, everything just works :)

Level Lock Touch

I love my Level lock, but HomeKit integration has been iffy, even with the HomePod about 6 feet away. Use the app, and things work better. It is a great looking lock, and it is nice that no one can knows that it is a smart one.

Nearly Perfect Stealthy Smart Lock
