Moves the air, but could be better.

I bought this to use in a dusty environment, so I bought a 20 x 20 filter to put in front of it. Moves the air just fine, until I add the filter, then it is just not strong enough to pull the air through the filter. Even a cheap filter cuts the air flow in half.

We used this fan on a girls weekend and we were all able to use our covers, which is not normal for most of us!

Great for cooling; fatal design flaw

Don't leave this fan on the floor while running at #3. When bumped by children or pets it hits the floor and the blades snap off when they catch on the interior bracing, photo attached. I replaced the blades once from Lasko (yay!) but they busted again (boo). Lowes negotiates the pricing of your supply chain; I request you monitor R&D and durability as well. Inexpensive fan, but it moves the air. This is 2nd or 3rd Lasko product that we have purchased. They are usually good for 3-5 years, if you take care of them and don't drop them a whole bunch. That's what happened to the predecessors. Dropped and plastic legs and switch bought the farm.

Went out with a bang

Bought this fan about 6/7 years ago and it always worked great. It spent it's last few years in the garage keeping the heat down. Tonight it met it's end when a mouse crawled into the fan motor and kamikaze'd it. Great fan and effective mouse trap.

Also box fan

I had a Lasko box fan for at least 5-8 yrs. Loved it. It just died on me so I bought another. But this new one on low speed is too fast or too high. I thought I messed up and put it on the higher speed but it's only on 1. I'm disappointed with this one and am unsure what to do with it. I may have to buy another brand.

Must have!

The last Lasko box fan I had lasted for 10 years, and I used it almost every single night! It finally gave up its ghost last night so I'll be buying a new one today! I can't sleep without the white noise of a fan and this one is perfect, and you can't beat the price.

OK for the money...

These box fans used to be $10, now $16. Never happy about price increases, but I will say that this fan seems to have a lot more power than the last one I had (same model), so...happy about that.

Basic, Sturdy, Inexpensive-- Gotta Love It!

I purchased this box fan to replace one exactly like it that had been working at low speed, 24/7, for over two years. Considering the low price on this product, surviving some 26+ months of constantly moving air in the room is remarkable at every level. Works great and very fairly priced

Fan works just like it should and was very reasonably priced. Came out of the box ready to use.

Great inexpensive fan

Needed a fan to put in a window to ventilate a room where some Sheetrock work was being done. Did the job perfectly. For the price couldn't go wrong. Ran like a top for 5 days about 10 hours a day. Never missed a beat. Cleaned up fine and will use it in garage.

Broke fast

Bought 2 fans. One of the plastic blades broke of one of the fans within an hour. Fans are unstable at high speed and need to be propped up so the wont fall...even when on flat surface. Bummer...back to the store.

not very quiet

I wish it was quieter. It says quiet operation, but I'd like it whisper quiet.

Too many warnings

I ordered this fan to use in the barn aisle outside my horses' stalls because the online description was perfect. However when it arrived I read that it could not be used near hay (I wonder if there's a fire hazzard) so it was of no use to me. I wish the warnings were included in the description before I bought the fan.

Perfect for the Price

I purchased this fan to dry my basement after my A/C drain got clogged and flooded part of it. Worked great. I ran it non-stop for 5 days at least, no problems. Well worth the price.
