Faulty lid, bad customer service from LG

This machine was fine until a plastic piece on the inside of the lid randomly broke. We've only had the washer for a year and used it lightly, but I heard a loud crack when I was closing the lid one day. When I opened it, I found that a plastic cover over the inner hinges had inexplicably cracked, and pieces of shattered plastic had scattered on top of the laundry inside. Would not buy LG washer/dryer again

I wish we had bought a whirlpool washer and dryer again instead of LG. The main things to know are: 1. The power button can be hard to see, its not very bright. 2. All of the standard wash/dry options aren't an option on the machine itself. Instead, you have to use the app to download each cycle you want one at a time. 3. Brush up on your Spanish

It came with the default language set to Spa ish, and there is no guidance whatsoever in the manual or online on how to change it back to English. I had real reservations about buying a "smart" appliance, and this is exactly why. LG customer service has been unhelpful, and this has been a very disappointing experience.

Auto detergent dispenser

Love the automatic detergent dispenser. It is very easy to fill. Saves time from filling every wash. Very quiet and efficient.

Beware if you need help.

The sales person said you could fill the tub with more water in cases where you need to on this model. I have yet to find that feature. Seems like it don’t add enough water on normal cycle or regular wash like cottons etc. Bought this machine May 5, 2025. I’m missing a bumper from the lid. I called customer service number. Twice. Perfect Size for Family

The washing machine had all the features we were looking for. It's the perfect size for a family of four. Delivery and install went smoothly. The crew knew what they were doing and were quick, neat and efficient.

Quite happy with the LG washer

Our last washer was significantly larger but this LG is proving up to the task. The AI feature is nice - I don't have to think or risk choosing the wrong setting. It's also nice to load the detergent dispenser once and then not have to worry about it for multiple loads.
