I would prefer to give zero stars but thats not an option. This refrigerator i bought is not even two years old and already needed carburetor repair. This is unacceptable, my old fridge lasted 12 years with no repair needed and i replaced it for a newer fridge, your LG. What a mistake that was NEVER again will i buy LG. And i will NOT be recommending you. Faulty products by a name we are supposed to trust. Shame on you.

Plastic piece on small door broke

Plastic piece broke off by just shutting the regular door. Now from everything I have read you have to buy a new door they don’t have just the plastic piece.

Doors won’t shut

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a perfectly responsible adult who lives alone and many times a day I endure the godawful chime of a refrigerator door having been left open, so I know I did it. The stupid doors are designed to stay ajar, and it takes active slamming to shut them. I hate the refrigerator for that reason.

Great Refrigerator

I bought this when my old fridge died. I love the size and the side by side doors. The different ice options are a nice feature. I didn’t think that we would use it but we do. The bigger ice keeps water bottles cold for longer. I am glad we bought this model.

Fine... except craft ice maker

We've had our refrigerator for 3 years now. Overall, it works fine... it's a refrigerator. However, one of the primary reasons we bought the model was for the craft ice maker, which has worked properly for all of about 6 months of it ownership. Unfortunately, LG has been less than helpful in repairing it!

LG is no longer the brand I can rely on.

That is where the positives end. The craft ice maker stopped working after 10 months. We had it repaired under warranty, and it stopped working again 8 months later. We have not had craft ice since. About 2 weeks ago the regular ice maker began to have issues, so now we are stuck trying to troubleshoo...

GREAT FRIDGE

Barely lasted 3 years.

When it worked it was ok. Thank goodness I purchased the protection plan. Purchased August 2021, by July 2024 had 4 plus service calls so Lowes allowed a replacement. LG had good ratings with consumer reports, not sure if I got a lemon but I am now looking for a new frig. Not sure if I will purchase an LG again.

Don't Buy! Poor design and service

As others have described, the convenience door latch is broken. It's poorly engineered, with a small piece of plastic used to secure the door. When I reached out to LG via social media (the only way to contact them), their only solution was to replace the whole door for $340! It's the same plastic piece that's going to break again! When I responded asking LG for more support, I did not receive a response to any of my messages. It's a shame!

Great, Spacious Refrigerator

It is spacious, quiet, and has an upper door to quickly access milk, sodas, etc. without having to open the entire door. I like the seamless design: the lack of handles takes a bit of getting used to but now really love it.

Nothing But Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this fridge for about a year an a half now. I've had the craft ice machine break twice and the piece of plastic that holds the door closed break. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand of fridge. The craft ice balls aren't worth the repairs that cost more than the entire fridge cost.
