Would RecommendSlow start on miking ice. We thought it was defective. Two days in it starts kicking out ice more rapidly. Abou 10 days in and so far so good.
Works as it should with a nice on/off switch
Generates nice sized ice pieces and has a good sized bucket. Also, I liked the on/off switch and an indicator light as to whether it is active. Some icemakers require you to pull up the bar to a completely horizontal position to stop the icemaker.

Would Not RecommendI'm the purchaser in first review. LG doesn't warranty Optional icemakers only factory built and pre installed icemakers. Your 1yr warranty is no good to cover separately bought icemakers. Signed Disgusted!

Would RecommendThis ice maker was easy to install. Instructions are easy to follow. Just know once it's hooked up it may take 12 to 25 hours to make ice. Toss out the first 3 batches and you are ready to go!

Works great, straightforward install.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works very well, love the 'Normal' ice cube shape and the HUGE ice bucket! The install went without issue. Note, when it says connect the wiring harness, they mean the harness on the solenoid valve to a plug in the fridge. It may look like it doesn't fit, but it fits nicely.
