Lowe's associate said they have had documented complaints in the past about the same. Returned for a different brand.

Would Not RecommendWe purchased a LG DLE8200W dryer from Lowe’s on 2/22/2026. The dryer was delivered on 3/6/2026. When we used the dryer, clothes became snagged on the plastic under the lint filter. We cleaned out the filter and used the dryer 2 more times, each time clothing snagged and were twisted to the point that some clothing was damaged. Design Flaw in Filter Cover
Would Not RecommendWe have had this for less than 3 weeks. As others have commented clothes get jammed under the cover at the lint filter. This is a design flaw. There should be some form of gasket under this cover to keep clothes from getting in that crack. Called LG. They basically refused to honor their warranty. Going to Lowe's to see about getting this returned and replaced by a company that will not refuse service.
