This LG air conditioner is very quiet and cools very well in my house.Has a great energy rating and looks very modern.I am pleased with my purchase.

Defective plug

I have had it a while now and I can say it is the quietest window a/c that I have ever experienced. The dehumidifier portion works great and efficiently keeping operational costs down. We have had a dozen or so hot days in Florida and it has cooled my room down quickly.

Poor fresh air vent design

Bought summer 2023. Easy installation. Fair cooling. Biggest issue is there is no way to shut off the external air/vent opening. You can see the outside vent ribs looking at the unit from the front; that means there is always hot external air mixing with the cold air vents. This marginalizes the efficacy of the cold air produced by the unit that should be coming into the room.

Slim but puts out some air!

I bought this as it was the only option for my window opening based on height in 10kbtu. Easy wifi connection and scheduling through the app.

Can’t close outdoor vent when air outside is poor

I bought the unit because the online manual said it could close the outdoor vent (for when outside air is poor due to wildfires, for instance, or to increase the cooling capability by recirculating and cooling inside air). When it arrived, no vent. The manual that came with the unit said some units don’t have the vent. I contacted LG who refused to replace or refund. Note: I hurt my back and couldn’t put the unit in for a month so by the time I realized the problem it was beyond the month retur...

I only gave one star so I could write a review! The air conditioner looked like it had been through a wreck. Dented in bad on one side. Lowe's does not deliver. Fed Ex does so it was mishandled I'm sure..I returned it.I only had it shipped because I couldn't lift it and have no help.

LG1522IVSM is quiet and efficient

I purchased this LG1522IVSM window A/C unit online for in-store pick up. I've been using it for 3 weeks and am happy with it. Its very quiet, cools the house quickly and has all the features I need. Actually I haven't learned all the features and modes yet. I have used on-off, timed on, fan speed, and energy saver mode. The unit is so quiet I don't know its on except I can feel the cold air blowing from it and hear the air coming out. I like the timer which does hours so I can have the unit off ...
