Doesnot work properly

I bought it yesterday and just cannot find any place to have my access code fixed

Great product and customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got our lock around 2 years ago worked awesome for about 2 years, then it started burning through batteries, called into customer serv. to get help on how to fix it and they ended up sending us a new lock. Love the lock, never get lock out anymore.

Motor goes out quickly

The product was great while it lasted which was not long. Decided to purchase it a second time because I liked the convenience; it's life span was even shorter than the first. Save your money and skip this product.

THE AWESOMEST, BESTEST DEADBOLT ON THE PLANET

It has a detached garage, so we wanted to use these electronic deadbolts to avoid using a key every time we wanted to run to the garage, or when coming home with a bunch of grocery's and having to fish for the right key. Easy addition for my remodel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not find this deadbolt with the handleset I wanted so wound up with an unused deadbolt that came with the new handleset. It will get used on another project so not a big deal. Great thing about this was the option of using the key or the combination to unlock the door which worked out well. The remodel was an older condo for my nephew so we ditched the old outdated cheap hardware and installed the brushed nickel which classed things up ...

My second

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed one of these at my old house and I installed one at my new house two dyas after I moved in. I love not having to go into my purse to get my keys, especially when my hands are full of shopping bags. They are easy to install and work well. I installed kwick set locks on all the doors and made them match the key from my old house. I didn't even have to send new keys to my parents and children who live out of town.

Secure,but needs more settings on auto-lock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this lock in my house for some time now. I have the auto locking feature selected, however, I find that it will lock too fast. Wish there was a setting where you can increase the duration. I also don't find the batteries lasting very long, but this is likely due to the auto lock feature and it is on a high traffic door

Good lock, great service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first one when we bought our house 5 years ago. The first one didn't last long and I called and Kwikset sent out a new one. I had trouble with the new one and that one was replaced. Now on the last one it works great. It was worth the trouble to me. I am able to set a combination for other people without having to give out our combination.

Perfect for our life style

SmartCode is well made and really works well

I replaced them with two of the SmartCode units 4 or 5 years ago and have not had a bid of trouble with them. The battery life is surprisingly good. They work in extreme cold temperature. The finish inside and out has held up extremely well. Easy to use even when I don't leave the porch light on and it's dark. My family never has to carry a key or worry about ...

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for about two years. I really like that I don't have to carry a key and I can quickly unlock/lock the door. It was easy to program and I put them on all four doors to my home.

Works well

I purchased last week, Just make sure after it is installed the deadbolt can actuate freely into the door jam strike plate and you will have no problems.

Easy Access

Occasionally the door gets slammed hard enough to jar the batteries loose,and if the offending rugrat is out after we go to bed, he/she can't get back in because their mom locks the door manually, not realizing the batteries have disconnected. Hence the phone rings at whatever hour. Second minor drawback is the keypad is not backlit. That would be a great improvement for...

No need to hide a spare key

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have neighbours that check our house when we travel. It is so convenient to not to have a lot of extra keys around. I have been locked out a number of times in the past. Now there is no more problem. We had problems with out initial set, however, we got super service when we called, even to the extent of having a new set mailed out at no cost to us. They back their product!!
