[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this on my garage entrance, it is perfect due to the fact that my garage is not attached to my house, the keypad makes for simple entry and I don't have to search for a set of keys to get in and out. If I forget to lock up, not a big deal. Kwikset does it for me!!! Run around without keys!

Kids Locked Out After School!

No need to hassle with keys although I do keep one with me "just in case". It its battery operated so there is always the risk of the battery being dead. No more fumbling for keys in the cold and dark(been there), or locking yourself out (done that), or having to rush home to let someone in. Superb, functional, intuitive lock.

Fortunately Grandpa won them all , but I wasn't ready to risk it. This eliminated the unlocked front door. I love this thing. Unusable

Unit will not retract deadbolt all the way. It leaves the dead bolt extended about 1/2". No info anywhere as to how to correct this problem.

Owner for over 1 year

I had trouble finding reviews for people who had this for more than a few weeks. I have had this installed (self) on my front door for more than a year and it is WONDERFUL. The Energizer/Duracell batteries I use have yet to run out, still going! The codes are SO EASY to set and reset. This is incredibly convenient and user-friendly. Great Lock - Great Customer Support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this lock to go on the front door of our new home. The instalation and programming were straight forward and very easy. The original batteries died after 1 month. The second set of batteries died after 3 months. I called Customer Support and explained my problem. They sent me a new unit and I changed it out. It has been working great for the last 14 months.

909 Smartcode Deadbolt is Very Good.

Well, 9 months later and it's turned out to be a very good electronic Deadbolt. It only jammed on me once, and that was because of a very low battery, but it opened with the key anyway. Great product.
