I bought these locks two years ago so provide keyless entry to my home. One feature I particularly liked is the automatic lock. The lock is reliable except that occasionally they get themselves into a situation where no matter what I do, the locks will not unlock or even respond until unlocked manually from the inside. I don't know why this happens, but it certainly prevents me from giving a five star rating.

Easy operation

I bought this a while back and it is very simple to use and allows me to enter without having to carry any keys with me.

Easy to use and install!

I bought this a few years ago when we moved into our new house, and I'll never use a different deadbolt! Very convenient, easy and quick installation. No negatives at all!

Love ours!

The finish is nice, easy to install, love the color flashing if unlocked, locked, or battery low.

Great for the Kids!

I have purchased two of the 909 SmartCode Electronic Deadbolt locks for my home. I had issues with the grandchildren losing or forgetting their keys so I put these in. They work like a dream and I chose a number that is easy for them to remember (i.e. - their birthday) and I can very easily change the code if I choose. The locks are very secure. I also had some issues with the locks not closing properly but I contacted Kwikset and they told me how to fix my problem. Very easy and they were great...

Bought our first digital dead bolt and love not having to keep up with a key. Have changed all of our locks to digital.

Great product

I bought this several months ago and it was really easy to install. It is easy to set the code numbers and change them if necessary. The only problem I had with mine is when I tried to re-key it I pulled the key out to soon and now I cannot use a key to open the door. I still believe this is the way to go for key less entry. I feel it is safe and secure and gives me piece of mind when I am not at home.

Love going keyless

We bought this lock as we had similar Kwikset locks in other homes. We like the security of the dead bolt and the ease of having no keys. We can give the code to friends and relatives to gain access to our home without passing out keys.

Battery case failure It will not connect to lock

My battery case failed and cracked on me now I can't seem to arm my lock

Extremely valuable

I've had this for quite a while now and I absolutely love the convenience of not having to use keys. It also great because family members can easily access the house and I don't have to make extra sets of keys. The set up was simple and it's easy to change the code should a security issue arise. Highly recommended.

Solid for the Garage Door

Almost a year with this lock and it works excellent. Rekeyed the lock to work with the house keys, but have yet to even need a key. I've programmed a couple of codes to the door. My next option with this lock is to find the wireless board to put in, so I can connect it to my home automation system.

Great Item, except...

Bought this about one year ago. It works great but battery life isn't too good.. I have to purchase 8 AA batteries about every six to eight weeks. Other than that, no complaints.

Attractive and dependability

I purchase this with the matching lock set with curve handle. My family and I have been more then happy. Forgotton keys a thing of the past. Has never failed in over a year. Batteries last a long time and flashes when it needs replacement.

Easy to use

Have been using this lock for a couple of months and it has worked wonderfully ! Easy to use and was easy to install. Also liked that multiple codes could be put in.

Convenient Deadbolt

I purchased this for ease of entry and exit from the front door. Easy to install and convenient for people to exit and lock the door without a key Just press the lock button and it locks. Looks good too.

No key fumbling anymore

Easy to install and match my old key to the new lock so would be available if the batteries died. The batteries (Pink rabbit) last almost a year. All in all it is a very nice home improvement.

Terrific invention!

The second time I locked myself out of the house I decided to look for a keyless entry system. I found the Kwikset #909 was best suited for my house. The brushed nickel finished matched all of my other Kwikset hardware. The features I like best are, four digits entry code, ability to create a temporary code for guest or service people, one touch locking and the green flashing light to indicate unlocked and red for locked. I love this product. High quality, well made and excellent priced.

I like the lock but it consumes batteries at an extreme rate compared to a competitor's lock that I have on another building
