I have had this Kwikset SmartCode Deadbolt for just about two years. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to not to have to worry about being locked out of your house. With no keys needed, it's a simple code that you create that can be changed if and when you need to. Nice deadbolt.

The deadbolt is very attractive, easy to install and secure. It functions well with the touchpad but make sure you have a bushel of batteries and your key because it sucks the energy out of the batteries and then the touchpad won't work.

Love this

I wish I could put one of these on each of my doors, it is so easy to use and safe. you set the combination to many codes for a crook to guess the correct one. Don't need to worry about loosing or forgetting a key, though a key can be used. Haven't changed batteries since installed a year ago. Keypad lights if needed. Very safe and very convienent.

Keyless Ease

I bought this product over a year ago for the front door of my Cape Cod home. Easy to install. Works without a problem. I don't even carry a front door key anymore. And, after the hard winter we just had (2014-15) I know it will be functioning for many years to come.

great when we first got it

This was a great lock until electronics stopped working. Unfortunately it was after the warranty was up, a little over a year. Our only option miss to buy a new one. So it was not really a good value.

Never will I look for my keys again!

I bought this thinking it looked like a neat gadget to have.... I am totally impressed with the quality and workmanship this lock provides. I am constantly telling my husband it has been one of the smartest buys I have ever made. Installation did not take very long and I love the fact that I can change the code as often as I like!

Secure and smart

Six weeks ago I purchased this lock and installed it at my elderly mother's house. Install was easy and rekeying to match her other Kwikset locks was a breeze. One word of advice; be sure to adjust and align the bolt and striker plates perfectly. There sould be no drag or hanging of the bolt. If it slides in and out easily without you pulling on the door tighter, then it will work flawlessly and will have the longest battery life. I am extremely pleased with this lock set.

It works every time

This is my second one and I absolutely love them they work every single time without fail backlit keys are awesome for nighttime and its super handy for the kids you just need to punch in the code to get in, no longer fumbling for keys or losing them

Great features, easy to change key & priced right

We purchased 6 Kwikset - Smartcode 909 deadbolts for our two rental properties. This provided an easy way to provide secure entry for each guest. We have been very pleased with the results. Our guests enjoy the keypad for its easy entry for each guest. We the owners and property managers enjoy the ease of changing codes whenever we want. We look forward to expanding to other rental properties in the future.

Installed over 6 months ago. Easy to install and program. Now we can go walking or kayaking without worrying about the keys.

Takes the hassle out of lost keys

We've been using the Smart Code 909 for about a year, and not only was it easy for me to install, (it was as simples as a regular doorknob) I am so glad we decided to purchase one. We never had an "electronic" door lock before, always used keys, but this is really great. I mean, it makes sense - we have a keypad lock on the garage, that we used to go in and out of the house all the time - why not get the same for the front door? It's easy to use, we all know the code, nobody worries about forget...

One less key

I have too many keys and store loyalty tags and cards so it is great that my homes door is finally key free. And it is better than my car because although the car is "key free" I still must have the fob which is a pain in the butt (I carry it in my back pocket). Also it is great to go get the mail, visit neighbors and mow the lawn. I do not have to carry keys and can still lock the door for when I am in back and out of sight of the door

Works half the time

have had this for over a year. Sometimes it unlocks, sometimes it just makes a lot of noise and doesn't. Sometimes it just beeps.

Great looks

I bought this three months ago and still love the way it looks and work. I use mine with a home automation system their was no problem pair it to system worked the very first time. Great added plus is I don't have to give every one in the family a key to the house just the code that can be temporary if need be

Easy to use!

I used to work at a home improvement store in their hardware department and I used to have to change the displays to their locks several times throughout the year, so I've installed my fair share of different styles. This lock was so easy to install and is very simple to use! I love that my husband is able to go out running and not have to carry a key with him, all he has to do is put in his code. It's so simple and the buttons have a great coating so they aren't being rubbed off with use.
