What Customers Are Saying
The tool is generally well-received for producing clean, consistent cuts on a variety of materials. It was described as easy to set up and use, with a simple adjustment mechanism. However, some reviewers noted compatibility issues with certain saw models and concerns about the build quality of the plastic components. A few users also experienced issues with the accuracy of the measurements or the stability of the saw when clamped to the guide. Overall, the tool seems to be a useful addition for many woodworkers and DIYers, especially for ripping large sheets of material.

Would RecommendI don't know how I did without it. Cuts plywood sheet perfectly straight & accurately. No measuring, just set the gauge & cut. Bingo perfect dimension.

Very useful
Ripped 5 sheets of ply, all were consistent and I would recommend this product.

not what I needed
Would RecommendDoes not rip less than an inch. Looks like a good tool, but necer got to use it. Too bad the package doesnt specify a minimum rip cut.
Not Universal
Would Not RecommendThis guide does not fit my Craftsman 7-1/4" saw. The bevel clamp on the saw shoe gets in the way of the set screw that fastens the guide to the saw. Pretty stupid that Kreg won't publish a list of compatible saws.
Pretty good, just wish it was all steel.
Would RecommendPretty good, just wish it was all steel. I am afraid that the plastic parts will eventually give up at a job site. It does make light work of making consistently straight rip cuts. Especially if you are repeating the same cut several times. Now even beginners can make straight easy rip cuts safely, with out struggling. So if you are ripping sheets of lumber, you need something like this.
Great tool, easy to use, built well, right price.
Would RecommendIf you are like me your wondering why would I pay for this, I could make my own....My answer is not as well or for the cost. $36 at Lowes. You READ THE DIRECTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM ( it is clear to me some of the reviewers did not.) and the darn thing is fast and accurate. Example: I needed to cut 4x8 sheets of Exterior 1 OSB into 1.5 inch strips. Averaging about 60 per board I would need to measure mark and cut over 100 times....Saw this tool and thought, huh wonder if it would work as well ...
Awesome addition to a circular saw
Would RecommendIf you spend any time at all measuring and chalk-lining plywood, this tool will be your new best friend. It paid for itself in one project - I had several 5.5" strips to cut, and zipped them off in no time. Only wish I'd known about it sooner!

How Did I Work Without This!
Would RecommendI don’t know how I’ve gitten by all these years owning a circular saw, but not owning this cutting guide. It takes a moment to set it up accurately, and you have to take care to attach it to the saw properly, but after that, it is a flawless machine. I would not cut a piece of plywood without this tool ever again.
Not accurate.
Would Not RecommendI set this tool up the way the directions said. Made 6 practice cuts, only one was right. I'm cutting oak plywood, cuts have to be dead on. Returned
Very Much Needed tool for home projects
Would RecommendIt works perfectly once you understand how it works. My son and I did the initial setup, then it was very easy to cut. So, 2 foot and under - cutting is now flawless for us.

not the greatest but better than nothing
Would RecommendIs this item perfect? No, but it beats using a yard stick wifh clamps to guide your circular saw. Assist in keeping a straight line, and the ruler on top is accurate. Just remember to continuously push the side against whatever you are cutting, and that your particular saw may not perfectly line up with the length on the ruler. Realistically I would give this a 3.7, if you can afford a track saw id rather have that personally.
Just Buy a Table Saw
Would Not RecommendI bought this to cut boards for a pantry I'm building. I've had great success with other Kreg products in the past and figured I would give this a try. After setting everything up as per the directions it couldn't keep a straight cut past 30 inches or so. Not a big deal if you're a basic diy'er, but if you're a perfectionist like me it simply wouldn't do. Just buy a quality table saw.
Cheap junk
Would Not Recommendvery cheaply made, thin and flimsy plastic that has no strength.
Great tool for the money
Would RecommendRipped 8 feet of 3/4 inch plywood straight as an arrow. Took 15 min to set up, but the results were worth it. Every Kreg tool I own works great.
Kreg rip-cut
Would RecommendI recently used this adapter for my Skil saw and it worked amazingly well. I currently have a table saw and radial arm saw. I took this unit with me to my daughters house to build some shelving units and a Murphy wall bed out of 3/4" plywood. With a couple of sawhorses and assistance I easily and accurately cut out numerous pieces of plywood.

Kreg Rio Cut
Would RecommendIf you don’t own a table saw, this product allows you to rip (lengthwise cut) a board with ease. My only complaint is that they don’t recommend ripping less than about one inch off a board. I had actually looked for info on minimum cuts before I bought and could not find anything. If you’re looking to rip less than an inch off a board (I was going to rip about a quarter inch off the side of a door) you’re better off going with the Kreg Accucut or just a straight edge and some small C-clamps.

Accurate Rips for Wide Measurements
Would RecommendThe Kreg Rip-Cut was recommended to me by a friend who was having the same problem I had when ripping lumber with wide dimensions. The problem being that when attempting to rip wide dimension lumber on a normal size table saw, there is not enough table to use a measured fence to guide through an accurate cut. The Kreg Rip-Cut economically takes the table saw out of the equation and makes a circular saw an adjustable jig of sorts. This product is one of those buys that was engineered and price...

Garbage, better use a board as a guide
Would Not RecommendBulky, awkward, and difficult to use. Very flimsy. As my as I love Kreg Pocket Hole Jig, I hate this junk. Never get straight long cut with it.
