What Customers Are Saying

The Kobalt Ratcheting Screwdriver has a mixed reception. Customers appreciate the ratcheting mechanism, bit retention system, and versatility, but the included bits are too long to fit inside the handle. The storage compartment is not large enough to accommodate the provided bits, and some found the directional ratchet mechanism finicky. Despite these design flaws, the compact size and range of bit types make it a useful tool for some customers.

Nice Ratcheting Screwdriver

Would Recommend

I bought this because of the ratcheting feature and locking feature when bits are inserted. I was skeptical of the large bits included. They seem a bit long when using it for small jobs. These bits seem made for areas where a longer bit is required and can be awkward on average jobs. The handle has a cap that unscrews for bit storage. As stated the bits included are rather long and cannot be stored in the handle so not certain of the reasoning of pairing this set. It's a very nice price fo...

Compact Set of Screwdrivers

Would Recommend

Easy to use. Feels solid, not flimsy. Nice selection of bits that comes with it. Only problem is that the bits don't fit in the handle - they are about 1/2 inch too long. The saving grace is the clip the bits can be stored in so that they don't end up scattered around your toolbox.

Fantastic product

I now own 4 of the screwdrivers in this series. One for home, one for work and one (the one being evaluated) in my boat. Far better than carrying a driver and a pack of blades from place to place, and when working in a small restricted space the ratcheting action makes it quick and easy.

Versatile but with some limitations

Would Recommend

This is a fairly sturdy multi-bit ratcheting screwdriver that is comfortable to your hand and does the job, but I found it odd that the included bits (except for the small chrome demo bit) don't fit into the hollow handle! I'm not sure what the thinking was here, but it means you have to store them some place else (I keep them in my drill it case. Now you can use other, smaller shaft bits (it accepts the most common bits like an impact driver does). I found the ratchet directional shifter a bit ...

Misleading

Would Not Recommend

Bits that come with the ratchet are too long to store inside the handle. Why would they package the handle with a short bit in the chuck and extra long bits that are too long to store in the handle. Misleading packaging!!! Handle works well but I'm disappointed in the inability to store bits that come with the ratcheting handle

Good screw driver so far. Worthless bits

Bits are too long to store in the handle. First time I put any torque in one of the bits it broke right off.

Seems like a very good product so far.

I saw a favorable YouTube video about these tools and they looked good enough for me to try. The bit retention system and the ratcheting action are excellent. The YouTube video suggested putting a large o-ring above the threads on the bottom of the tool so that the cap fits on snugly and won't come loose. A #18 o-ring worked for me (that should have been part of the tool design in my opinion.) The additional driver bits are good but are too long to fit into the storage handle...but that's ok...
