Would RecommendDon't hesitate to buy this Kobalt trimmer head for the 80v Model# KST 140XB-06 I'm a 64 year old female and I had it changed in under 10 minutes with nothing to buy or any issues. To remove old head put allen wrench into the hole in silver piece above the trimmer head. Turn back and forth until it locks then turn the old head and it will spin right off. Screw on new head and remove the allen wrench. You do need to hold onto the allen wrench while turning. Very easy!

Would Not RecommendOrder from Lowes and it dont fit, it dont screw on to the weedeater the hole is to big, it would of been nice if they sent extra Bolt adapters to make sure it fits right, I called the phone # that they give you put all he did was take my name and address and someone call you in 3 to 5 days. Will that dont work for me, I done waited a week for this part to come in, now you got to wait 3 to 5 days for a phone call back........ what is a another brand that will fit this?

Would Not RecommendThis item does not fit the Kobalt 80 volt weedeater I had purchased 2 years ago at Lowe's. If you need a replacement you must go to your owner's manual and contact Kobalt with the item # in the book. It is cheaper and fits the weedeater.
Modified 80V Kobalt head replacable skid disk
Would RecommendOrdered 2908003 head for my BLACK Kobalt 80V trimmer and got at the store in 4 days. Left hand threaded head. Wind direction is CW. Has a single injection molded spool and bump knob. Works fine. Made a replaceable 3M MOULDING tape held bump skid. Modified Add-On skid plate should work on a 55 mm OD Blue 80V trimmer bump head too. OD is 55 mm. Dremel tool metal saw and drum sander bits and skill needed. Final disk must pass through the spool COVER hole. Happy for a backup spool.
