Ordered online since local store no longer carries 80v products in store. No longer have any 80v products on display in store.

Good but need correct tools

The product looks sturdy but it’s near impossible to remove the old piece and the new/ old don’t mesh together properly

Best Kobolt 80v product

I have had Kobolt 80v Weed eater for 5 years know. I purchased as a spare just in case this goes obsolete. This is the best weed eater I have ever owned. Five years and still works like the first time I bought it.

Wrong Part even with same model number

Product was an "exact" replacement for original as was promised by the Lowes Agent

Product appears to be better quality than original. Will know more after weather breaks and it gets put to use.

DOES NOT FIT KST 2580-06 TRIMMER

THIS DOES NOT FIT KOBALT 80 Volt MAX KST 2580-06 TRIMMER ! I even called customer service for 30 minutes to discuss and they verified it will fit. The center threaded insert nut does not fit the thread of the center shaft. Everything else looks similar but NOT THE SAME! Now I'm out of the money I spent on this.

Discontinued parts

I purchased what I thought was supposed to be an excellent string trimmer in 2018. Now I cannot get this part as it has been discontinued and the customer service person even stated that it was a wearable part. Now the trimmer is totally useless. I can't believe Kobalt and or Lowes would do such a thing.

Can't wind spool

Just bought 80 v string trimmer, Why is it so difficult, if not near impossible to wind new line on to spool. Can the line be wound with spool removed from head?

Poor quality

Just a heads up if you’re looking for a quality battery powered lawn equipment with readily available replacement parts DO NOT BUY KOBALT! The pressure washer is garbage no matter the setting (I get better results with a standard garden hose) the weed eater I can never find the correct or compatible parts. But the blower is good for the garage, I wouldn’t take it much further than that. The only thing that hasn’t given me any issues is the inflator fortunately it’s rarely used. I personally woul...

Don't buy

Lowes doesn't stock replacement parts for Kobalt trimmers. Not worth the risk of owning, in my opinion. I own the KST 130X - and I'm out of luck. Won't buy again. Attention: Please don't respond something about calling the team at the 800#. I did that.
