Called the number for Lowes replacement parts several times and each time the reps act as though they have no idea what's going on. I will be buying a new trimmer, not from Lowes, and it definitely will not be Kobalt. I believe the thread pitch is different because out of my many attempts, there were a couple of times I was able to spin it on and it seemed almost perfectly level, yet it would still get stuck after at most a couple of turns. When I gave up after 15 or 20 minutes trying I was able to get the old one on easily in the first attempt. I will make do with it as ...

Don't Buy this if you have a Model KST 2580-06
Would Not RecommendI was looking for a replacement head for my Model KST 2580-06 trimmer and the Lowe's search shows this a the correct replacement. NOT EVEN CLOSE. While I really like the trimmer it is impossible to find the correct replacement part and even if you do the instruction manual does not tell you how to take the old head off. So now I am stuck with a part that I really can not use although I was able to make the bump line kind of work at least somewhat. Lowe's should be ashamed of themselves ...
