Would Not RecommendDo not buy this tape. This is the 2nd one I bought, the first one lasted like 2 weeks before developing sharp crimp cracks along the edge, the 2nd one literally like 3 days. I do art installation for a living, what initially I liked about this tape upon grabbing it from the shelf was that I could hold it 140"- 150" inches without it bending, but that joy soon dissipated once it started to crack and slice my finger when it retracted. Would Not RecommendI purchased Kobalt tape measures paying a premium for what I thought was a lifetime warranty. My favorite tape broke and lo and behold it’s a 90 day warranty who the heck wears a tape out in 90 days??? Just FYI STANLEY does has a lifetime warranty unlike this junk.

Garbage--the brake broke on both of mine
Would Not RecommendThis tape measure has a crucial design flaw. The internal brake that you engage when taking a measurement is a flimsy thin piece of plastic. I had two of these tape measures and it broke on both of them leaving a piece of the brake to rattle around inside the tape measure. This renders it nearly useless for carpentry since you can't lock it to take a measurement with one hand. It is otherwise a solid tape measure but without a brake it is useless to me.
