What Customers Are Saying
This tile cutter offers a smooth scoring and snapping action that allows for clean, precise cuts on both ceramic and porcelain tiles. The large cutting surface and extending arms make it suitable for handling oversized tiles up to 36 inches. However, some users noted that the accessory fences felt a bit flimsy, especially for larger tiles. Additionally, the scoring wheel can dull quickly when used on very hard porcelain tiles, so having spare wheels on hand is advised.

Would Not RecommendThe first thing I noticed was the built in guide that shows where to line up your tile for the score was NOT accurate. It was off by about 1/8". I had to take a piece of tape and mark the correct score position and put over the original one. On smaller cuts, the tile simply lifts on the left side when you try to score or break, leaving a jagged edge. I had several tiles break diagonally due to the tiny press pad used to press the score line out. Also, the fence/ brace provided is complete ...
Breaks more tiles cuts
Would Not RecommendTerribly designed tile cutter, especially for 24” tile. The tiles never break where the score mark is, extremely disappointed with this cutter. Would give zero stars if I could.
Good part
Would RecommendClean cutting
Great tile cutter
Would RecommendMinus 1 star for missing 1 adjustment knob and lack of instructions. Box didn’t seem to have been opened, but these items weren’t inside. However, it cuts tile fantastically. I’ve been using a cheap tile saw that cuts slowly. This thing lets me cut straight lines in a minute. Doesn’t do everything: can’t trim 1/2” of a tile, can’t cut out a section for AC vent, etc., but I think that’s just the nature of any tile cutter like this. I’m glad I got it but I do miss the knob that adjusts for angle c...

Too flimsy for 24" porcelain floor tile
Would Not RecommendI had trouble cutting 24" porcelain floor tile with this tile cutter. The metal rails that support the scorer/blade/handle would bend upward when trying to snap the tile, at the precise time/place you need it to remain rigid to snap the tile quickly and with maximum force. I ended up returning it, as I broke more tiles than I cut and could use.

Nothing
Would RecommendIs necessary for the Tile work
Got the 36”. ……
and it Sucks! More tiles broken because of a bad design. Don’t do it. get one with a diamond blade
Great tool
Would RecommendFor the price this tool works great. I damaged the first piece, after that I cut no less than 500 tiles. Rips, crosscuts etc. all perfect. I was skeptical at this price point but this was one of the best tool purchases I have made. Not a tile guy but have been a tradesman for over 50 years and I would recommend this anyone.
Great tool
Would RecommendCrisp straight snaps, there is something so satisfying about a clean tile cut. This handled my 24” tile perfectly and it so much cleaner than a wet saw.

WORST TILE CUTTER EVER!
Would Not RecommendThe cutter design prevents tiles from breaking cleanly where they have been scored. At least 80% of the time (maybe more) the tile breaks jagged because of the ridiculously shortened breaking bar under the tile. Horrible design! This product should be recalled and purchase price refunded. It is truly that bad.
Cuts!
It cuts tile..its a great tile cutter for the price.

Waste of money don’t buy
Would Not RecommendBroke about 10 tiles or even more trying this thing hard to get a good straight cut out of it. Would not recommend buy a saw!!
What a join to use!
Would RecommendI started with the Project Source cutter. Barely put a scratch into my 9x9x3/8 inch ceramic tile. I only need to cut five, but I ruined two before admitting that it was impossible. Resigned to buying a saw I glanced through these reviews for the Kobalt. Even though almost twice the cost of a cheap saw, I sprang for the Kobalt, because I just want a quick snap, and really didn't want to deal with the time and mess a saw entails. I just tried it out, and can't believe it. I barely put anything ...
Good after adjustment
Would RecommendI'm happy with this tile cutter for the money but I just recommend checking the tile stop for square as soon as removed from the box. I had to loosen the nuts and adjust for square after noticing a slight angle on my first cut. As another user mentioned, don't try to use the measurement guide that comes with this, use a tape measure.
kobalt 30-IN ceramic tile cutter
Would Not RecommendIt's like putting money in the trash, I am very unhappy with this purchase, it really was a waste of time and money, it is useless, I do not recommend it.
really bad
I bought a 30-inch one but it doesn't work with large formats and when making cuts a lot of material is wasted.
Good Value - Usable But Finnicky
Would RecommendThis is a good snap cutter for the money but it can be tricky to get cuts perfect. But with a little bit of persistence I was able to get cuts down to even 3/4 of an inch wide. There are a few key tricks I found to get it right: 1. Forget the built-in guide. Just use a tape measure from the edge of the tile to the center of the cutter to get squared up. 2. The tile should be flat on the cutter when scoring - not resting on the raised breaker portion. 3. Make sure that your scores are deep enou...
A Pretty Good Tile Cutter for the Price
Would RecommendI have not used many of these before, so take that for what it's worth. It worked fine, but I had trouble aligning the cuts with any of the markers on the cutter--had to look directly at the cutting wheel, which is a little hard to see. It took a little practice, and I wasted a few tiles getting it dialed in, but altogether it was just fine.
