Good solid chisels

I used these chisels on a wooden cooler project and they worked great. The wood used was cedar. They were sharp and solid with no vibration. They fit in the hand comfortably and had good control.

A good tool for the price.

Being that I received these chisels during the holidays, I have not had time to thoroughly test them on the projects I would normally use them on. All of that being said, I have hit them against a few pieces of wood to test durability and strength and precision and I feel that they are quite adequate for the tasks I subjected them to. Great starter set of chisels for newbie woodworker

I'm a beginner woodworker but these little guys seem to be doing the job perfectly for me so far. Only used 3 or 4 times at this point but I can easily tell that they were very sharp, have a very sturdy feel to them, and the butt is holding up well to my metal hammer. I'll switch to a wood mallet as soon as I get one, but for now, this work very well. EXTRA SHARP

Chisels seem to be very high quality and are very sharp. I use chisels to flatten the surface of slab wood so i can nail things to a flat surface. I will be using these a lot.

great set. very sharp out of the box.

these are great - and very sharp - out of the package chisel set. they fit nicely in the average size person's hand. they also have a metal end cap to ensure the tool doesn't spall when you routinely hit it with a hammer. I've used this set to do some door lock and hinge repairs. they cut nicely and cleanly. I don't have any complaints about them.

Nice quality. Durable build.

I was very surprised with the quality of these chisels. There are extremely sharp right out of the package and have a very heavy high-quality feel to them. The handles are nice and bulky and fit the hand well and are comfortable. Also, the metal cap on back is nice and strong. It feels like it’ll stand up to many strikes. All in all these chisels are on par with more expensive sets. I will definitely be replacing these with the same ones when the time comes.

Sharp and heavy duty clean chisele.

I used it to carve a wooden block. I was able to try all three different sizes and it gave a sharp finish to the wood block. The angle and size made a difference and it worked great.

Gets the job done

These chisels work well. Nothing super fancy but they get the job done. It seems like good steal so they cut through hard and soft woods without any trouble. Easy to sharpen.

very high quality as expected from Kobalt

I have yet to be disappointed in a Kobalt product, and these chisels are no exception. Sturdy handle, nice weight and grip, three different sizes in one set. My only complaint is the packaging, which is far from frustration-free. You have to have a sharp scissors with a fine point to remove the zip ties on the back, or use a blade which isn't great because it's very awkwardly packaged so you risk a slip or cutting yourself.

Sharp, precise chisel set

Nice set of chisels for wood work. These are nice and sharp and work very well - the weighted handle helps and feels really nice. The tips are sharp and precise. The combo pack is useful as you never know what size you'll actually need. I had to install a door reinforcement lock, and we had to chisel out part of the frame. This set made it nice and easy. Looked like a pro did it!

Great set to have handy

Great all purpose set. Something that comes in handy as a homeowner. We had to remove some caulking from a bathroom baseboard and these worked amazing to do so. Feels like a high quality product and we have many Kobolt brand tools, and they never disappointed. Would make a nice gift also and a great price point!

Solid utility chisels

Solidly made utility chisels. Came with a decent edge on them. I was able to cut end grain fairly cleanly straight out of the packaging. For what they are, they're very good.

Nice set. Seems to hold a good edge. Good balance. Don’t care for the package…hard to get open. Without using the packaging no protection for the sharp edges.

Great improvement over my old chisels!

It was time to replace my old chisel set that I have had for several years. My new Kobalt Chisel set is a great improvement over my old set. The blades are made from hardened and tempered steel and are very sharp. super high quality set of chisels

Super high quality chisel set. The handles are a bit rubberized so they help to provide a non-slip surface. Each of the chisels are heavy too so they are built pretty tough. I used this to chisel away the bottom section of my door for higher clearance when installing carpet and this was a great way to provide precise cuts without damaging too much of the wood. The assortment of sizes in this chisel set is ideal for my home repair arsenal. Though not a wood worker I found them to be sharp enough, well balanced and sturdy for my home maintenance issues. I had a linen cupboard door that had shifted so rather than work on the hinge area I simply adjusted the knob latch plate with the help of these chisels. Awesome set of chisels

Very surprised. Extremely solid, well made chisels. Balance is good, and they cut like a champ. I have zero issues with the quality or the performance of them. I am not a contractor or professional, but I have been woodworking for a few decades and more of a maker, and they worked absolutely perfect for me.
