Would Not RecommendMaybe a month if use and the guard already broke. Once it runs out if the initial string I guess you have to buy a new one. The string holder won't come off. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this model, it's junk.

Better than gas for normal, homeowner needs
Would RecommendGreat power. I haven't had to reload the line yet but this was a big selling point. One thing that's kind of annoying is having to turn it back on after a short pause. It's also easy to accidently hit the the same button again to increase the power level. Overall it seems well made.

Powerful Battery String Trimmer
Would RecommendThis is a great little addition to your landscaping tools. The two 24v battery set up and brushless motor make it as powerful as any gas trimmer. Easy to assemble and adjust the handle for height. It has 2 speeds for different areas. The batteries charge fairly fast in my opinion. Easy to operate and it came with the string pre-wound. I haven’t replaced the string yet but it doesn’t look complicated.

Would RecommendThis performs exactly as I had hoped. No more smelling like gas after weed-eating. Strong enough to get the job done and the batteries lasted long enough to get around my 1/4 acre property.

WOW. HOW IMPRESSIVE
Would RecommendI tried this 48V weed eater (WE) and how impressed I was. This lightweight WE has two speeds. I used the low speed and it took care of my tough weeds I have on my farm. The 48V WE is simple to charge and operate. No more gas WE for me. Beats the heck out of pulling a cord and using pre- mixed gas. Great job Kobalt.

Would RecommendMy old gas weed eater was becoming unreliable so I thought this would be a great replacement. It was perfect for around my house and especially the pool. I also have a lake property and not having to take gas in the car was a big plus.
Returned before it was delivered
Would Not RecommendI went to the store. The inventory showed 7 units on hand. The floor associate could not find the unit in the store. I ordered in the store to be delivered to my home. Two hours later the update showed delivered. Nothing was delivered to my home. The next day I phoned the helpline and was told that the item had been returned. The helpline could not tell me who returned the item. Waiting on my funds to be refunded.

Would RecommendI am loving this battery operated weed wacker because it is lightweight and super easy to use. My husband has a gas one and it was difficult for me to get it started, but with this it turns on by the press of a button! I also like that you can buy other attachments, I am looking to get the pole saw attachment.
