This Product Should be pulled off the shelves

It is a great price but it literally can’t be used. I have tried to download the app to every single Android product I have. Not a single one is compatible! What is the point in making a product that can’t be used!

It works if you know Android

I'm certain all the bad reviews are from non technical people who don't know Android. This works great but know that you may need to adjust your Android USB settings to have it set to webcam. Once doing that, I haven't had any problems!

video and picture quality is not very good.

it sucks

The software is very finicky and keeps disconnecting every few minutes. I tried two different Android devices, thinking my phone was the issue, but it did the same thing on my tablet. So, I'm confident that the software needs major work to prevent it from disconnecting and restarting every few minutes.

It works, but…

The USB cable is irritatingly short. The camera is low resolution and fixed-focus; it will not show objects close to the lens clearly and the image size is small, even on a tablet. This is offset by the small sensor size; objects a few feet away are fine. Also, when the USB-C plug wears out, which it will – USB-C plugs contain a spring which wears out – the device will fail. So, a good low-cost solution for a homeowner, but if you're a pro, buy a commercial tool; you'll be happier.

Declining Klien tools?

Just pulled this out after about a year and now i remember why it was stired away. The app does not work. Ive tried it on multiple phines and the camera is of very liw quality. Unless you are right on top of what youre looking for youll certainly miss it. As of late it seems like most of kliens digital tools have taken a step back on quality in my opinion. Maybe i am wrong but it has pushed me in the direction of other brands. Unfortunate being a Klien supporter for many years.

Decrnt for the sale price.

Decent product on sale price. Does not have a remote articulation function, can be grainy in low light, but does have remote brightness adjustment.

make sure the plug is in the right position

When I first connected the borescope to my phone, I had a blank screen. Then, based on a prior review I turned the plug over and it worked perfectly! It's true that it takes a few tries to hold the scope and phone in one hand while snaking the flexible tube in the other, but it's do-able. Even better when you have an assistant to hold the phone while you snake. Overall great value for the price.

It Connect to your phone real easy. I think the camera should be a little shorter for tight corners and the cord should be longer.

Bought it a couple years ago, tried to use it a few times. Throw your money straight in the garbage and save the frustration. Junk junk junk

Klien Tools

Tools made by electricians for electricians, my opinion you can't beat that. I stand by the name and anything manufacturered by them. Please I've never had a problem with any of my tools made by klien. Well except for not being able to leave them unattended or whatever cause there's always someone wanting to get them lol

Works well, power cord is ridiculously short.

The borescope works well. However, the power/data cord that attaches to your phone is so short it's very difficult to actually use the scope. I also predict a very short life for the borescope due the short cord. I don't see it lasting through too many uses before it fails due to fatigue. To use it, you have to hold your phone and the borescope in tone hand while using your other hand to maneuver the scope. The power/data cord is too short to set your phone down and use the borescope.

Great Product! Install Security Updates first.

I bought this and had no issues like others mentioned. From earlier reviews, I had seen that the phone needed to be updated, not only for OS but for security. This is a separate setting, but just search under Settings for Security Updates. Install them. Afterwards, it worked perfectly. The armored, tougher flex line is much easier to hold in place. A USB C extension cable may also be useful.

detail only focus

great picture at an inch away. zero visibility until then. it's useless if you need to look down at anything larger than two inch diameter.. you can fish around a 4inch pipe forever using the unweildly cord and never find anything.
