It maybe plastic... But it's fantastic!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a Christmas gift and wanted to put it through the motions before I reviewed. Now every grinder I have ever used including standalone stainless steel grinders have a problem processing large chunks of fat that reach room temperature, this mixer kept pushing through as long as I added a larger strips of meat (muscle)... Now I put it through the paces and ground 15 lbs of trimmed brisket (tough and sinewy) and this grinder chewed ...

Such a great product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a gift from my husband, and I use it at least once a week! It is so easy to use and clean. I am constantly recommending my KitchenAid mixer friends to get this attachment (as well as all of the other time saving attachments)!

Grease from Work Drive

Grease from the worm drive comes out with the ground meat, even after several uses. I have to pick out the contaminated meat clumps every time.

SO MUCH BETTER than I expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This meat grinding attachment is better than my old EXPENSIVE stand alone grinder! I’ve put everything through it, from beef to venison! I now make my own ground beef instead of buying it!! Best Christmas gift my husband has ever given me!

Fun

Broke on first use

We have purchased it few weeks ago as attachment for our favourite KitchenAid. After just On first use after washing and left to dry on counter heard a pop and watched the worm gear assembly fly across the counter. Little screw at the end of metal part of the worm gear has sheared off

No More Store Ground Meat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We own most of the Kitchenaid mixer attachments, but this one is my favorite. I've always liked to add a little pork in my ground beef for my burgers. No more combining by hand. Everything we make now taste better from our burgers to tacos to meatballs to lasagna. Just wish it was made in the USA.

Fun Attachment!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this attachment. My first project was to make meatloaf and everything went through the grinder, peppers, onion, chex mix and cubed roast- came out delicious. I also bought the sausage stuffer attachment and cannot wait to make sausage!

Waste of money

My husband bought this for me for Christmas less than a month ago. I used it once to grind pork and it worked great. I tried to use it again to grind beef a few days later and the metal shaft twisted apart. Didn’t even get 2 uses out of it. I won’t be spending money on a new part as I’m sure they’re defective. Also never again will I buy any kitchenaid attachments. Money wasted

Worked great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to grind some chicken for lettuce wraps and used it to process the mushrooms, water chchestnuts and bamboo shoots as well. It worked great! My only hope would be for the chamber to empty fully, but I had to pull the remains out.

Love it so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wanting to get one for a long time and my grandparents bought it for my Christmas gift. The only thing I’ve made is Ham Salad for sandwiches and it just as easy as it was when I made it with my grandma at their house using theirs but eventually want to make other stuff like special burgers etc.

Not well

Love this grinder

They were the best hamburgers I have ever had. I use it to make ground chicken and for ham. Best gift ever!
