Worked for only six weeks; warranty worthless

Installed on February 19th, 2026. It worked for six weeks. Then the latch got stuck open. So the noise level is five stars because it hasn't made a sound for weeks. We have been waiting for four weeks for the replacement parts. On April 16th, we were told, in writing, if the parts hadn't come in by April 23, we could contact Whirlpool the next day for an "alternate solution." We did so the morning of April 24 only to be told that now we have to wait three more "business" days for the "warra...

This is a great dishwasher so far. We have only had it a couple of days. It is really quiet compared to our old one. This is actually the quietest dishwasher we have ever had. It seems to clean well so far. I really like the third rack and the adjustable middle rack.

I think it's ridiculous it didn't come with a power plug. Pay $1,000 for a dishwasher, but it cost too much for them to put a power cord on it? And the Lowes salesman should know that and tell you before you leave the store that you'll have to buy a separate power cord if you want it to run. And the printed installation instructions that came with it were incomplete. But once we managed to get it installed thanks to YouTube it does a great job on the dishes.

Great Functionality and Quiet Operation

While this dishwasher 'feels' cheaper than the 20 year old Kitchenaid unit it replaced, we've loved it so far. The third rack on top is more usable that we anticipated, we appreciate the adjust-ability of the second rack and it operates very quietly and efficiently. You can set it to start up to 24 hours later (so we ensure we get the overnight electricity rates) and everything seems to come our very clean. OMG! What a mess!

I bought this dishwasher because I thought KitchenAid was a good brand. I had it installed on a Friday and the next Wednesday I had enough dishes to run it. It ran for about 5 minutes and then stopped. The lights were still on like it was running but it never sprayed as the dishes were still dry. I reset it several times and even turned of/on the breaker. I think it's defective but they can't do anything because it's up to the service technician to determine that. So, I can't use my expens...
