Disappointed with purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this toaster. It burnt toast black on #1 setting. Cant imagine what higher settings would produce. Spoke with KitchenAid and they decided to send me another one. The second toaster produced the same issue, burnt toast on setting 1. Had to call again and the lady said do you want me to send another? I replied “are you kidding”. Waiting for resolution of this frustrating issue.

A bit disappointed

They were mixed, but I've always had great luck with the KitchenAid brand and really wanted to love this toaster. Unfortunately it's only ok. I love the warning beep when it's done toasting. But I've had issues with items being toasted heavier on one side. I also have to keep it on the lowest setting and items are still very toasted. I have kids who like things lightly toasted and it's diffic...

Best 2 Slice toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I highly recommend this toaster. Easy to use for perfect uniform toast. The cancel button helps you get the perfect toast as well. Lift the lever to help the toast come up a little higher when finished. The price is very reasonable and the toast is perfect.

Only thing stopping it being a 5-star toaster, is that it toasts too dark. Even on the lowest level, we have to manually cancel or the toast is too dark (to be far; the bread is a thicker than normal slice, and we do like very light toast. Great size and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a replacement for our old one that wasn’t quite tall enough to toast the top fifth of the bread. The last two or three cheap ones were too small. It does a great job on everything but a single piece of bread. The side toward the middle is always darker than the other. Other than that I love it.

Decent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Somewhat disappointed as it toasts unevenly, about the same as our old Sunbeam toaster. Has adjustments from 1-5, but around 1 works best for most bread. We started at 3, and burnt the toast severely. If you get one, start experimenting at a “1” setting.

Toasts on one side

I have several KitchenAid items (standing mixer, combo microwave/oven wall unit) and needed to replace a very old toaster. Splurged and bought the KA toaster. It worked fine for the first couple of weeks, but is only toasting on one side now. At this point, I'm not sure if I want another one (because this issue seems to be a common one) or get my money back and purchase another brand all together. On Monday I will be contacting the Hassle-Free Warranty Department

Repeat purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our kids (now adults) got tired of us buying cheap toasters that always broke within less than a year. As teenagers, they combined their gift money and bought us a KitchenAid toaster that performed beautifully for the next 2+ decades. We FINALLY broke the spring mechanism after years of making perfect toast and bagels. There was no question as to a replacement. Our NEW KitchenAid toaster is as amazing as we had expected it to be!

Like the finish bell and manual lift

Good quality/ wishing for more temperature control

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this month and has performed well. Solid and well made. Only wish is some addition temp controls allowing you to select temperature gauge. The temperature control lets you select number from 1 to 5 but won’t let you select say 1-1/2. Not a major concern!
