It feels very cheap, the slide doesn’t want to stay down with first push. This is my warranty replacement and this one performs the exact same way the first one did. I would highly recommend finding another brand.

Would Not RecommendI purchased an earlier version of this toaster probably 6-7 years ago and was very happy with it. However, it finally stopped working and I replaced it with this toaster. Do not assume that “new and improved” is always better. In this case KA is offering a cheaper, less desirable model. It takes forever to toast a slice of bread and does so unevenly. It's fine but not as good as it used to be.
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It toasts but it's not nearly as good as the Kitchenaid 2-slice toaster it replaced from ten years ago (relay failed). It has 5 settings but anything above setting 2 burns the toast or bagel, so settings 3-5 are useless. It also takes almost twice as long to toast on the lowest setting.
