The slow-close seat is really a nice feature. You don't wake up people in the middle of the night with a loud bang.
This is a replacement for the one that came with the toilet. The original lasted 5 years then the seat cracked. I only weigh 185. Hope this one lasts longer.

Kohler slow close seat
Would Not RecommendSo I purchased this to replace one in a house we bought. The old one was cracked even though the Kohler toilet and seat was only two years old. So I installed this one and about two weeks later I’ve noticed a crack developing on the underside of this one. I should note that the heaviest person in the house is only 150 pounds. Not sure if these are defective or poorly made.

Would Not RecommendWhile other reviews indicated that they like the sloping nature of the seat, both my husband and I find the seat very uncomfortable.
