What Customers Are Saying
This primer provides excellent adhesion and bonding, allowing paint to adhere well even on challenging surfaces like glossy, non-porous, or previously painted materials. It is easy to apply, dries quickly, and offers good coverage, often requiring only one or two coats. The low odor makes it suitable for use in occupied spaces, and cleanup is simple with just water. While more expensive than some alternatives, many felt the superior performance and adhesion made it worth the investment, especially for important projects.

Would RecommendCovers paneling with no bleed through, two coats. Adhesion primer is a bit more expensive, but for covering difficult surfaces like paneling this primer is the ticket. I have rental properties, this is the only primer I use anymore.

Exterior Primer
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a historic home build in 1912 and used the Adhesion Exterior Primer for my project. Easy to apply and perfect coating to apply my exterior color paint. I recommend the product.

It works!!
Would RecommendI was frustrated because I couldn’t find something to cover oil based paint. I painted my whole house with it and I wasn’t about to sand it all!! It was yellow and ugly. After trying employee recommended bonding paint ( that didn’t work) I returned the paint and I searched the net and came across this adhesive bond primer. Lowes doesn’t carry it but it is on their web site…It’s expensive yes but my my it went on smoothly with no blistering and it looks fabulous!! I AM A HAPPY CAMPER!! HIGHLY ...

Great Stuff
Would RecommendWorked great for what I used it for. I am building a shed here in Florida. Started just before the rainy season and well didn't get it finished yet. Everything I applied this too has stayed good. It may not be a true water proofer but has seemed to do the job for me. Esp on the chipboard I left outside.
Works great on the popcorn ceiling with a high sha
Would RecommendKILZ Adhesion Bonding Primer Interior/Exterior Bonding Water-based Wall and Ceiling Primer, read and follow all the instruction don’t mix it down and you will walk away a happy camper with minimal fuss and a easy water based clean up. I used this directly on my 24 year old popcorn ceilings that I think were last painted over 10 years ago the coverage was great and in most areas only took one coat. The part I loved best was easy clean up with just water because you know when painting ceilings you...
Easy to put on and covers in one coat.
Would RecommendEasy to use and seems to bond well. Clean up was easy too. Dried quickly and evenly. Hopefully it will hold up in the bathroom by the shower as previously paint have not.
KILZ Adhesion paint
Would RecommendThis is KILZ Adhesion primer paint. This is to use as a base coat primer on slicker surfaces. I am using it to prime almost the entire interior of a travel trailer we are refurbishing, as everything used to build this interior is plastic, or vinyl covered, so paint will not stick to walls cabinets, trim, etc. without first laying down a primer coat made to stick to these non porous surfaces. It layed down very nicely. Smooth paint and decent coverage, although if I needed consistent solid co...
Great stuff
Would RecommendIt does what it is supposed to to. Great coverage and Great adhesion. I would recommend though that you wait a full day before you apply the final paint in order to ensure that the primer is completely cured.
Painted a door purple
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to paint my pantry door purple to match walls and trim. Didn't want to sand so used primer and it took pant perfectly. Easy peasy. No mess. Will be using it on the rest of the doors in my home ...going semi gloss black.

Tough to paint, and repaint, again and again?
Would RecommendPerhaps the reason it's not taking is surface mildew. Get a paint, indoor or outdoor that sticks, primes, and helps prevent mold and mildew. That could be the reason to need to repaint when it doesn't stick.
Nice, even coverage, even on bare wood
Would RecommendI've been battling carpenter bees since my deck was rebuilt about 10 years ago. How they can chew into pressure treated lumber, I don't know. So now that I've filled in the bee holes, and in an effort to get ready to paint, I needed to prime the bare wood first. I had a few doubts since it was so weathered, but thought if any brand would be up to the tasks, it's Kilz. I ended up applying it using a 2" chip brush, or rather a series of 2" chip brushes, but it still turned out very nicely. Prep...
Best Primer! Great Texture and Smooth Application!
Would RecommendThis is the greatest choice I made to use for our bathroom renovation. I really love the quality of KILLZ brand, and this primer is certainly great to use. It’s not too thick… just rite! Certainly the best quality, in my opinion, based on use. The first coat dried quick, and the one and only coat of paint over it turned out so good. The container is made of a black material that seems to be rust-resistant, unlike most cans, which I feel more comfortable leaving on the ground in the garage. The c...
Great primer!
Would RecommendSo this stuff is pretty amazing. I was dealing with pain flaking outside on something I had repainted. I was able to get a majority of the flakes cleaned up and then used this product as a base. It’s a bit of a thicker honey viscosity but goes on smoothly. Then I painted and the finish seems to be rock hard. Great product.
Amazing primer for a good price
Would RecommendI have had great luck with this primer. I've primed a huge above garage closet with it as well as a bathroom cabinet. Both came out great and held paint perfectly!
