It did not cover the slightest of stains and original kilz covered black permanent marker. For the cost difference and coverage of a 5 gallon bucket I will forever use only original kilz, I give original 10 stars out of 5.

Buy in bulk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this in my bathroom and contemplated not painting over it. Looked great, but make sure you know your surface area so you don’t have to make a 2nd trip to the store. My mistake!

The BEST

Made a blue wall yellow

Excellent covering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use most the time for ceiling after I do Popcorn removal, works great and no stains come out Wi this product. I did use another paints but I had a lot issues covering those stains.

Single coat coverage

Hides dark paint easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Repainting bathroom and tried a dark orange over the dark brown previously on the trim. Didn't go well at all. Used kilz3 and the orange paint went on smoothly and covered wonderfully. I was so scared I'd have to keep old color. Thank you for this wonderful product!

Kilz 3 saves the day!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My father in law hired some people to replace the exterior sheeting on the house they painted the wall without primer when they were done. Within days the knots in the plywood they used began to release sap and it was coming through the paint. I went and bought some Kilz 3 and sealed the whole thing the paint went on Smooth after that and looks fantastic. No more issues with sap either. Excellent product I highly recommend it.

Cannot start a new building project without it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dad started using Kilz primers years ago for his work as head of maintenance at our local university recreation center. He was impressed with how well it worked in the locker rooms. I’ve used it on multiple projects from a portable chicken coop to enclosing my mom’s patio. It is like painting with pudding, smooth and thick. Not watery like some but dries fast enough and paint coverage is better plus you know you have the extra protection.

Stain kill, adhesive, coverage
