I needed a tintable primer to act as a high build

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was preparing to paint the exterior of a cinder block house and a lot of the paint had been faded away and peeled, plus over the years, painted over the old peeling paint. I needed a tintable primer for just one wall that was thick enough to act as a high build to make the cinder blocks smoother than they were - in short of striping the entire wall, which was not in the budget. Thick KILZ 3 did the job.

Spent a fortune; still mildewed

Good but not great..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used the original Kilz or Kilz 2 on all of my past projects, but recently ran out. I had a can of Kilz 3 that a friend picked up for me, so I thought why not.. Let's give it a try! So far Kilz 3 tends to splatter much more with a roller and doesn't appear to have the coverage that the predecessors had on the initial coat. Not for me

Great coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used Kilz primer. When we bought our house, we had a bedroom that had been painted entirely dark blue and another fushia. The previous owners had two teen girls. Only prep I did was washing the walls and ceilings down with TSP. Two coats of Kilz 3 primer covered it all, Can’t even tell what the prior colors were. Excellent Product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the all purpose power primer and it was complete garbage. After two coats, the walls were thinly covered. So I purchased Kilz Premium primer. It did a phenomenal job! Even on the parts with a single coat of Kilz were well covered. Only Kilz going forward!

Great primer.

Excellent Hide coverage

My go to for good adhesion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the few primers I trust to stick to trickier surfaces and to block tough stains. (Especially with wood). I’ve painted for 17 years and I always recommend people use kilz3 for tougher jobs.

Made My House Livable!

Great for raw wood

EXCEPTIONAL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this primer 3 separate occasions at two of my homes. Exterior block walls in Arizona heat, and interior walls. Also in a Michigan homes interior block wall, and drywall. Coverage was perfect, as well was the end results.

Rental renovation

Coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently had a repair on the ceiling in our garage. The repairman just painted over the stain after the repair. It wasn't to our standards as the stain bleed through. We used Kilz 3 to seal the stain. It worked wonders!!
