Easy and Effective

Would Recommend

The insulation was easy to use and spread easily in the attic space. I like that it forms around other structures in the attic.

Good value for a DIY installation project

Would Recommend

comfortable product size to load into a blower hopper for installation. installs nice, make sure the Lowe's has the remote control to turn the blower on and off from the attic to allow the installer to move around the trusses

Blower Machine Shenanigans

I'm writing this review hoping it arrives to a rep that can address this issue. I see online that you can get a free blower machine rental when you buy "X" amount of bags. A quantity I'll easily surpass. I couldn't find any other other online information on how this is done. I've gone in multiple times (weekends, later in the evening) and was told "we don't rent anything at this store". Hard as I tried I was unable to get good intel from the pro desk, cashier, and even a "manager" over thei...

Great do it yourself - DIY project

Would Recommend

Did a 500 square-foot attic, adding blow in insulation on top of the existing blown in insulation. My daughter and I added six bags in about an hour and a half. Total project time 4 hours. Prep time another two hours. Marked trusses to level of inches or R level needed. Two things I would recommend, make sure you use 100 foot of hose even if you don't need it because the inside of the hose is ribbed helping to break up the material and don't pack the material into the hopper gently push it i...

No brainer!!

Would Recommend

My secondary attic is about 350 sqft, had about 5 inch of bat rolls (theoretically R-19), with some gaps on top of walls around pipes and conduits. The room below felt like a refrigerator in the winter. I blew in additional 15-20 inches. It made a dramatic difference, the room feels very comfortable now and when I turn heat on it does not take forever to warm up. It cost me under $200 for an attic.

Good product but questionable coverage

Would Recommend

Took 31 bags to blow a 1300 square foot attic (including framing) to ~15". Used a laser level in attic to make sure it was pretty darn close to 15" everywhere. Their calculator says 51 square feet per bag at R38. So this would mean 25.5 bags. And subtract for framing, maybe <25 bags. So somethings not right.... My local lowes was really bad. Bought 34 bags, machine they sent me home with was missing the remote, so I couldn't use it. Went back, they couldn't find remote. So I had to go t...
