A little early for this year but the spikes seemed to work ok last year so I will try them again.

We shall see...

To early to tell if these will actually be improving the overall health of tree because it is early spring, so they have not had a chance to work, but installation was pretty straight forward, and if they actually feed the tree until fall, then that's a great product, the less I have to do something the better off I am!

Excellent results with this product

Would Recommend

We have used this product for all of our flowering trees and shrubs in our yard for many years. I use them every spring and have great results. In fact, our shrubs and trees bloom beautifully with this food. We use one large spike for the larger shrubs and break a spike in half for the smaller shrubs. We use them on Lilacs, Viburnum (many cultivars), Flowering crab apple trees, Red Twig Dogwoods, Rhododendrons, PJM Rhododendrons, Peonies and others. All have improved with these spikes. EXC...

They work.

Would Recommend

In the years we have used these, the trees and shrubs have grown quicker, looked better, and were healthier than in years we have not used them. They are easy to apply with a simple hammer, but take care because their tops will crumble if the little plastic tops (which are provided) are not used or if you try to drive them in with powerful blows. Also, here along the coast where we have sandy soil there is little need to wet the ground before driving them in (as suggested), but in clay soil that...

Why a nine pack?

Would Recommend

I don't know why Jobes decided to put nine fertilizer spikes in a pack. I would prefer to see four and/or twelve packs since the customer is advised to use the spikes soon after opening and I don't have that many trees. It is fairly easy for me to place a even number of spikes around a tree while an odd number of spikes is harder to arrange at equal distances. Instead of dealing with 180 degree, 90 degree or 45 degree angles, I have to eyeball 120 degree or 60 degree angles which is not as easy ...

Reliable and Effective

Would Recommend

I've used Jobes spikes for years. Wouldn't plant a garden without them. Plants really thrive using them and I only have to use them one time a season.

Early Review

Would Recommend

This product was easy to install. It comes with a small plastic cap which fits well over the top of the spike before hammering. I thought some of the spike would break upon hammering but not so. Instructions state it will feed a tree for 9 months so time will tell- it's only been in the ground 3 days.

Fertilizer for my grapes

Would Recommend

I have a grape arbor and after a Spring rain, I hammer the Jobe sticks by each stem of my grapes. It seems to work well. I still have to spray for fungus/disease, but the grapes are sweet. Just make sure and hammer them in when the ground is soft, or they break even using the plastic tip that Jobe provides.

easy to use

Would Recommend

These plant food spikes work perfectly for my trees and shrubs in my home garden. I have used them for many years and find that my bushes do much better when they are fed. I follow the directions on the package and hammer them into the ground with the plastic cap. It is important to place them around the drip line of the trees or shrubs. They are a slow release product, so they work for a long period of time. I am an advanced master gardener and recommend this product.
