‘Welded PVC pipe into umbrella base
Would RecommendThe thin metal pipe in the weighted plastic patio umbrella base snapped when it blew over. Once I dug out the threaded piece a piece of 11/2” PVC pipe fit in nicely to the base. Used the JB weld there and the umbrella pole fits into the PVC pipe. Probably stronger than the flimsy original threaded pipe. Drilled and Tapped a couple holes in the PVC to anchor the umbrella.
