This is not the first time I've installed a garbage disposal, in fact its probably my 20th or so. This install was easy, fairly standard install. But Insinkerator, we need to talk about this EZ connect plug. First It was the most difficult step of the whole install. The way you crimp the wires is the worst and I'm expecting it probably will need to be replaced in a year or two. Installation was easy, unit works great!

I replaced a 15+yo Badger 5, and I love that Insinkerator has kept the components the same. Instead of a complete overhaul, I merely had to pull the old unit out and put the new one in it's place. The one difference is that wiring is now installed into a plug; be sure to pay attention to the direction of the plug, as the directions are picture based. Works great. We lliked It's price, size and quiet operation. And it came with a 6 year warranty, what more could you ask for! We had Lowes installation, the installer was personable, professional and quick in the installation. We were well pleased with everything.

Did not work. There was a electrical hum and that was it.

Difficult to schedule installation

Very late delivery, order received after installation scheduled. Still waiting for installation to be scheduled

Beware extra cable needed

Garbage disposal is fine did not like the way the electrical hook up was. If you do not buy their cable you will need to make one out of solid 12 gauge wire to connect to their plug.
