What Customers Are Saying
The instant hot water dispenser is generally praised for its convenience and performance, with many users highlighting the benefits of having instant hot water available for daily tasks. The product is described as effective and easy to use, with an improved lever mechanism. However, some common issues are noted, such as challenging installation and concerns about the product's lifespan, with many reporting leaks or other problems after 3-6 years of use. Would RecommendI had one before this, but at 17 years old, it started spitting out hot water at me. Not wanting to be boiled alive, I decided to get another one. The old one was also an Insinkerator. I love these things!

Leaking after a couple years
Would RecommendLove hate realtionship with this faucet. There are not any good videos on YouTube on how to visually troubleshoot and fix dripping for the model. I am frustrated with it not shutting off fully and/or dripping.

Wouldn't want a kitchen without it
Would RecommendWe are on our third hot water tap and we would not want a kitchen without it. We use it for making instant hot beverages, cooking, warming dishes, opening jars, cleaning gunky utensils (i.e. dissolving the peanut butter off a knife, etc.).

Must Have
Would RecommendWe have used this water heating method for over 20 years! It makes a perfect cup of tea and coffee. Use it to start cleaning greasy pots and pans or rinsing off a butter knife or peanut butter. It's always hot and ready. Even during a power failure we still have some heated water to make a beverage. Ever since we had a "smart" Kettle that didn't automatically turn itself off and started a fire on our laminate countertop, we have always used this brand for our hot water dispenser! Each has lasted...

Great Product
Would RecommendThis is a great product. It is wonderful to make your beverage by just turning on the tap and not having to boil a kettle. No more tea kettle.

Great idea….doesn’t last
Would Not Recommendit is a great indulgence to have instant boiling water in your kitchen, and this device delivers. The problem is that, for the cost of it, it doesn’t last very long before it starts leaking. I am on my third one! At best, I have had it last 5-6 years, before there is a pool of water beneath it in the cupboard or even onto the floor. We really have had to think it over before replacing it and our plumber agrees that there is a defect in the design. This time he added clamps to the connection to s...

I love the instant hot water, I use it every day for cooking and my tea.
Would RecommendThis is a great product and has been reliable and problem free for 8 years. When the original product did display a problem, Insinkerator was quick to assist us with the fix. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Product
Would RecommendThis was a replacement for a previous model that lasted over ten years without any problems. Since the replacement model appears to be almost identical to the previous model, I am hopeful that it will last just as long.

The Hot Water Dispenser Works Great!
Would RecommendReplaced an 12 yr old InSinkErator with a new model. Easy installation and the new model works great. Looking forward to several years of hot water for a variety of uses.

excellent product
Would RecommendThe man who installed this product was replacing an old instant hot. He had to make the hole in my granite countertop bigger in order for the pipe to go through. He was able to do it but it was not easy.

Nicely made product. Missing a few things
Would RecommendWell built unit bought as a replacement for an older similar unit. Unit was well packaged but the metal washer to secure the faucet was too narrow in diameter. The copper supply line could have been an extra three inches. No ferrule or nut was included with the product. After unpacking the new unit, a trip to the plumbing was required to purchase a roll of 1/4 inch copper tubing plus a brass ferrule and brass nut.

There is no other option
Would RecommendWe have used these instant hot water heaters for many years. Before the tanks were made from stainless steel, they would last only somewhat longer than their warrantee then spring a leak. Then we got one with a stainless steel tank that lasted almost ten years. We replaced it with the same model but that one lasted only 5 months before the heater died. We got a replacement under warrantee easily. We'll see how long this one lasts. But, there is no comparable product so we are hoping the previous...

I can’t live without my instant hot water dispenser
Would RecommendThis is our fourth Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser. Our last one lasted the longest, almost 4 years. This is exactly like our last one. The flow seems a bit less, but otherwise is perfect.

Great addition to sink area
Would RecommendI use this all the time. I have had one like this for 10 years and the tank started leaking. So I purchased a replacement and I had it installed in less than 30 minutes.

Use it every day
Would RecommendThis is our 2nd InSinkErator hot water faucet. We replaced the old one with a newer more modern version when we completed a new kitchen remodel last month. The old one was still going strong after at least 10 years of everyday use. It is a great addition to any kitchen. We use it for all of our hot beverages (even the French Coffee Press), if you fill a pot to boil something - with the water already near boiling you can start pasta and other items immediately. Again we use it daily or almost da...

Reverse osmosis? copper pipes?
Our plumber is installing this product (Insinkerator H-View-C) as I make this review. Our softened water goes through a reverse osmosis system before reaching the Insinkerator. The plumber says that the Insinkerator should *not* be used in conjunction with a RO system because the RO water will ruin the unit within a few years (it will start leaking). Also he says that RO water should not be flowing through copper pipes, which the Insinkerator uses in the faucet fixture. I have not read of these...

On demand HOT water
Would RecommendSo far, so good; I like it a lot. It seems a little finicky for setting/resetting water temp but that's OK. My output is about 190°, great for coffee, tea, anything you need very hot water for. The installer/warned that, because of the very hot water, the tank replacement might brv:, might be a pain. I'm quite satisfied with mine.

Operates well but installation was difficult for a granite countertop
Would Not RecommendI have granite countertop with hole which required me to remove the outer plastic thread in order to fit the dispenser in the hole. Due to the thickness of the granite countertop there was not enough thread exposed to reinstall the outer plastic thread. I thus had to improvise to hold the dispenser in place. There should be clear information regarding which hot water dispenser system can be mounted on granite countertop.
