Excellent Disposer

We installed the Septic Assist in our new house in 2002. It lasted 19 years and developed a small leak. We replaced it with the Evolution Septic Assist. The new one is much quieter than the old, but one can't complain about an appliance lasting this long without a problem. I would recommend this disposer to anyone with a septic system. We rarely put a lot down the disposer to prevent any problem in our septic system, but this certainly works fine.

Evolution Septic Assist food waste disposer is awesome

We have used the InSinkErator brand for years. Have always had good results. The one we just replaced was 20 years old and it started to leak on the bottom so we replaced it with the exact some kind, here's hoping for 20 more years. It is a little awkward to lift into place under the sink but other then that the install went well.

Great quality product!

The unit was a replacement for a 16 year old disposal. The new unit was easy to install and operates quietly.

The added feature of the Septic assist is great!

We needed to replace our old disposal and upgraded to this one with the Septic Assist feature. Had no idea something like this existed (found it just scrolling through on Lowe's), so just another step in maintaining the health of our septic system. FYI We did have a plumber install it because we are not handy.

Biocharge not working otherwise very happy with this disposal

This is my second version of this disposal. We purchased it for our new home as we had liked it in our old one. The only issue we have had is that the biocharge fluid seems not to be pumped into the disposal. It isn't just that we fail to see the liquid decreasing slowly due to it's small volume because with our old one the level never reduced even after years and years. i would very much appreciate someone contacting me as I have tried every option to get this to work correctly

Too loud

Don’t buy this for home use. It is unbearably loud and vibrates everything around it. The turn on switch is under my counter so I have to have my ear almost next to the machine when turning it on and have to back up as fast as I can to get away from it to avoid permanent hearing damage. I’m trying to get a different machine because I have trusted InSinkErator products for many years.

Good until recent months

It worked well for the first 5 years, but recently the bio liquid level doesn't seem to be changing. Installed a new cartridge but still no change Still grinds though, just liquid level not changing

Great product for a septic

Exactly what i was looking for with a septic system. Very quiet and powerful.

Great Disposal

This disposal is a beast! Very quite operation and will chew up most any food item you feed it. Very robust.

This is the third Evolution Septic Assist I've purchased and they have never let me down. Great product, easy to install and use.

Best disposal unit

I have Celtic system and I love the addition of septic assist injection of enzymes to assist in break down of solids.

Too early to tell. At present it appears the bio charge pump is not working

The disposal grinding function works well but the bio charge pump does not appear to be working which is the main reason I replace the old unit. It is frustration to spend all that money to buy a new unit with the same defect. To give the benefit of doubt I will wait another month to see if the unit uses any enzine before calling the installation company

Very quiet

A very quiet unit. It was easy to install since the fittings are all in the same location as the old unit. It seems pretty powerful, whatever goes in just disappears with no signs of strain or vibration.

Easy to install and instructions very clear. Even me that don’t think too much about plumbing was able to get it done.

So quiet and effective

Of course the quality and performance are great, but the true surprise was just how quite it was when running. Amazing.

Excellent solid quiet disposal

This is an excellent garbage disposal. My only suggestion is to change the discharge hose clamp to a screw type from a pressure type. Other then that installation was as simple as it comes. Highly recommend.

VERY QUIET COMPARTED TO BADGER IT REPLACED

We are very happy with the Evolution disposal. It is MUCH quieter than the Badger model we replaced. The water running in the sink is more noise than the disposal. It was fairly easy to replace. I used all the mounting and piping from the old disposal. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I had to remove the power cord from the old disposal and attach it to the new disposal. For the much higher cost of the Evolution; you would think it would include an ALREADY attached power cord! Remind...

this product was damaged, but workable.

This product was damaged as the housing that holds the enzyme was detached and therefore was unable to dispense enzyme. Otherwise, the disposal worked and was quiet. I did not send it back because the plumber was here and the sink connections apart. I would have had to have him put the sink back, mail the disposal and call him back for reinstall. Altogether, more expense than I wanted to incur.

Great Features

Installed this Evolution Septic Assist waste disposer with an air switch. It is extremely quiet.
