I bought this same garbage disposal about 10 years ago. Since I rebought the same unit it was an easy install.

Great upgrade for the Insinkerator Badger 500

Drop in replacement for the Badger 500. I had an installer do the work, I'm getting too old to get under the sink. Love the low noise and effecient garbage handling. Badger lasted 10 years so expecting good service from the Evolution too.

Warranty replacement

This was replaced under warranty after the first one failed at 3 years. My excellent rating concerns mainly the ease of obtaining a replacement under warranty, as well as the company's willingness to stand behind its product. I'm hoping this one will last longer than 3 years, which is the reason for the average quality rating.

Innovation Compact Disposal

This product was recommended by our plumber. So far, so good. We like it; it is effective; and what I like the most, it is quiet. :-)

Quiet and Strong

I love that it doesn't take up as much space under the counter as my other disposal does. It's in my Farm sink, which is deeper than a regular sink.

It's a great feeling not having to worry about what to put into a waste disposer

Wonderful powerful disposal

Had a plumber install. I can’t believe how much better a 3/4 HP disposal is over the 5/8 HP it replaced. Handles everything with ease. I don’t have to worry about birds picking at my garbage for food.

Great product

This model was very easy to install, it is very quiet , and it handles the water I feed it easily.

Installed 23 years ago and it is still going strong!

The only reason I have reviewed this product is that I am aware that not everything will last forever and was checking to determine if I could find the same product when mine eventually fails. Gladly, it is still available.

Works Well for my condo apartment kitchen

I live in a condo apartment with a relatively small kitchen. I did not want a huge garbage disposer that would be too big a draw on my electrical system or that would push food waste into other apartments which use the same drain pipe.. My new Evolution Compact is a replacement for an existing Evolution Compact that was probably about 8-10 years old. The new one looks just like the old one. Power cord installation sucks

The product is good - but the directions suck - and I'm especially disappointed that the power cord is not pre-installed. Seriously - that is just poor production. The manual was not helpful. This product would be a lot better if they just had the power cord already installed. Emerson - I'm disappointed in you.

This disposer doesn’t like food.

Disposer stopped up sink day after installation when I put cooked rice leftovers in it and had to call plumber.

Replacing exact same model because of rusted grinder blades

I am guessing that my hard water contributed to the "blades" of my old garbage disposal rusting and being stuck. The garbage disposal worked, but I could see the rust inside and knew that the blade things were not spinning as designed. I have a brand new Culligan water softener and it can't quite keep up with the hard water problem. The old insinkerator (Evolution Compact) was around 10 years old so I didn't bother seeing if it was still under some kind of warranty. Replaced it with the exact ...

Better upgrade

Had a Badger 5 that was noisy and started leaking after four years. Disappointed! Upgraded to quiet series as a replacement and so far happy. Very quiet and has no problem handling what is put down it. Insulation made it thicker, but compact still fit well under sink.

Great unit a lot quieter than our old one.
