Compact and quiet

This purchase replaces the same model that we installed ten (10) years ago -- very few available online, happy to find one available. With the same model, we felt that installation would be a snap, but the process took longer than expected (not entirely sure why). Should be good for another ten (10) years, maybe even longer.

Extremely Quiet and Efficient

Extremely quiet. I can hardly hear it running. Very efficient. Grinds up everything in a few seconds.

Quiet and effective garbage disposal.

I had the disposal installed by my plumber. So, I really can't comment on ease of installation. The survey forced me to evaluate ease of installation. The disposal works well and is very quiet. I am pleased with my purchase.

New mounting method - not an improvement.

Just replaced my 30-year-old Insinkerator ISE333, which was still running perfectly. Wife said the internal parts were becoming too contaminated with built-up residue. I have installed dozens of disposals over the last few decades. The new "easy" mounting design isn't all that great. If fact, I found it more difficult. The lock ring needs to be depressed against the top of the disposal before it can rotate. But the rubber seal offers resistance. This means that in addition to having to li...

So quiet!

My last Insinkerator lasted nearly 12 years. I decided to go up a step in power, hoping not to go noisier. No worries! This one is so quiet, it does not interrupt TV watching. I am following the instructions and grinding a lot of stuff like potato peels, just in small batches.

The product is working well. It is a bit louder than I thought it would be, but overall is doing the job.

The instructions were easy to follow. Disassembly of the old, cleaning and installation of the new. Having the right tools for the job, flashlights, clear workjng space and an extra set of hands.

Excellent Garbage Disposal At A Reasonable Price

I've owned this model in the past. It does an excellent job at grinding the contents into small enough particles as to avoid clogging the drain pipes, which is a problem that I've had with other models.

Smooth & Quiet

Purchase this to replace a similar model that after 20-odd years gave up the ghost. Must say it's quieter and smoother grinding than it the old one. The outlet was in a slightly different position so had to re-plumb the feed to the drain. No big deal if you are familiar with cutting and gluing PVC pipe. Great unit, has been installed some three weeks now, very pleased with it.

This model replaces 444, which is no longer made, and lasted over 15 years. I decided to replace an old Evolution Compact garbage disposer, which was working just fine, but felt a pro-active urge to replace as long as I was also replacing a white cast iron Kohler sink with a black cast iron Kohler sink. My only complaint is that the job required replacing a portion of the drain pipe because the new Evolution Compact is about an inch wider than the model it replaced. Much quieter and more efficie...
