This is a dependable product

Had out plumbing service install a new 3/4 hp InSinkErator; it replaced a 1/2 hp unit installed 15 years prior. The brand is dependable and durable. We felt the added muscle with the higher hp would be beneficial.

Badger 5XP InSinkErator does its job

We replaced our 5 hp InSinkErator when we replaced our two-level kitchen island with one level. The new InSinkErator does its job at a reasonable price.

Operations

The garbage disposal operates very well except it get a little noisy when things such as bananas are dropped in the disposal.

Ease of Installation

My home, now 10 years old, came with a InSinkErator. It got gummed up. Time to replace and what a breeze. I up graded to the 3/4 HP. Pushed it up into the ring, turned the ring clamp to secure It. Used the existing plumbing. Plugged it in and it works beautifully.

Easy peasy

Great product! Third time replacing a disposal…this was by far the easiest to install. Very happy with choice.

The last in-sinkerator lasted 28 years, so when it was time to replace it, why would I not buy another one.

Works exactly as I expected it to work

It works exactly like I expected it to work. Plumber installed in a very short period of time.!

Blades grind after being turned off.

I don't put things down the disposal, I only use it if food particles get in the sink. I turn it on only for a brief second or two, but when I turn it off, the blades keep grinding or clicking as if they're hitting each other. It started a month or so after installation by a professional.

It works as well or better than old model

I had the 20 year old 3/4HP model replaced with this 3/4HP Badger 5XP. It is considerably quieter than the old model. I didn't personally install it so I can't truly speak to ease of install but there were no comments from the contractor. I'll give it 5 stars in that category considering the quick install available for any future model if needed. Other than that, the performance is as expected from this brand.

Very high quality food disposal.

This is a very good garbage disposal. I bought the 3/4 horsepower model and it handles all waste with ease. It was also very easy to install. Just lift it in place into twist it into the mounting bracket and just plug it in.

Quiet and reliable

I had a disposal that didn’t have a wrench to clear jams. It was constantly jamming. I hated using a wooden spoon to clear jams! I appreciate that this disposal comes with a wrench and bottom fitting for clearing jams. However, it hasn’t jammed yet!

Very satisfied

We are very pleased with the InSinkErator, it does the job very quickly. and more efficient than our old Kenmore garbage disposal. Our plumber who installed the InSinkEerator, said we had purchased a top-quality product.

Good machine

We don't use the dsposal much. This one is quieter than the one we had. installation was easy.

easy install

I bought a model with the A/C cord already attached. Because I was replacing an existing Badger model I did not have to install the new sink mount. The combination of these two things resulted in a very quick, painless installation. I spent more time cleaning out all the items in my sink base cabinet than I did actually swapping out the units.

Great up to date disposal

Appeared contractor who purchased the unit and installed as part of the kitchen counter and sink upgrade had an easy time to install. Very recent install and haven’t used to any degree at this time.

excellent product as the replacement for our old insinkerator waste disposal.

The new food waste insinkerator has a less HP ( 3/4 hp) vrs our old one at one HP. However the new one is lighter and easy to install. The flexible hose return connection pipe form the garbator to our main kitchen drain piping works very well. Although a bit noisy, it,s performance continues to do a very good job. Fine value-added design at an affordable price.

Durable disposal

An easy diy installation. It has been installed for six months and no problems; although, it must be said that the disposal is minimally used because most vegetable waste is composted.

Fantastic

This thing is a Brute. It is not shy. It will take whatever you want to throw at it. Installation was a snap, with easy to follow instructions. All the parts were labeled and matched the pics in the instructions. I also liked how solid it was. I had to ask my wife to help hold it while I attached it in place. This thing is a Beast.

Quick Installatin

/we had an older Badger 5 that quit working after 14 yeas. Ordered the Badger 5XP with 3/4HP motor to replace it. Since the Xp and 5 had similar measurements was able to replace and install in around 20-30 minutes, Note: This time includes installing it twice. I had a senior moment and forgot to remove the dishwasher plug the first time (LOL). One tip for installation is to have the tightening wrench already inserted in the disposal collar when pushing it into the sink mounting collar. Makes it ...
