Powerful and fast

This was purchased to replace on older, smaller InsinkErator garbage disposal that no longer functioned (after wrecked by an inappropriate plastic item in it). This one seems to work very well, so far. I cannot comment on installation ease, as my handyman did the job. I don't know about innovation or how to rate that.

Works Great!

It’s much quieter than our previous food disposer. It is more compact but also more powerful. We are very pleased.

Leaked after 6 months

Works great, but started leaking from bottom after only 6 months. They did send a new one and installation is easy, but no reason it should leak from bottom for years (which is only due to rust). My last disposal lasted nearly 15 years so it is not a hard water/mineral issue with my water.

Very adequate for home use.

We had the 1/2 hour unit for many years. The last unit wore out a lot sooner than the previous three or four units. Very satisfied with this unit

Easy Install, Excellent Horsepower

Had to replace my other garbage disposal. Bought this because it was the same brand as my other one and install was supposed to be easy. And it actually was! This was the first time I ever installed a garbage disposal and it went pretty seamlessly. And the garbage disposal works great.

The industry standard

Since I was just replacing a very old, burnt out unit. The ease of installation was as simple as it could be. Which is one reason why I purchased the one I did. These things are pretty much bullet proof. The unit that I replaced was 30 years old and just lost its motor. I would recommend these over anything else all day long.

%XP works great!

Smooth action when loaded. No shaking or vibrating of counters. The 5XP 's extra horse power works great.

Replaced existing unit with new one

The new InSinkErator is much more quite than our prior model and does the job equal or better. We moved up one model from the original in our home. The prior disposal quit working and was an estimated 7-8 years old, but we had no knowledge on how it was used by the prior owner. We have had two prior units with no problems at all in different homes.

Loud and Smelly

This product is overly loud. The rubber piece for the sink has a large gap allowing oder and sound to escape very easily making the kitchen smell and a bit obnoxious when running the disposal.

InSinkErator Badger 5XP

InSinkErator is and always has been a great disposer. Only took 7 minutes to remove and replace it. Prior 1/2 horse unit was14+ years old, upgraded to 3/4. Very happy with InSinkErator.

Solid and sturdy product

I think that it is a good and solid product and it also runs pretty quiet.

Smooth install

When our old (came with the house) disposal finally broke, I replaced it with the current version of the same Badger disposal. It took me about an hour and a half to clear out the cabinet under our kitchen sink, swap in the new disposal, and test for leaks. Easy swap for a tired disposal

I installed this Badger 5XP disposal to replace a leaking one of the same brand after 8 years. It was easy to disconnect the old dishwasher line and rotate the old disposal off of the coupling. Don't forget to knock out the supply line fitting with a screwdriver on the new disposal if you have a dishwasher to it can drain into the disposal. I was replacing another brand that had stopped working. The installation with the InsinkErator Badger 5XP was straight forward and went smooth. The unit runs great, with power but quiet. Very happy with my purchase. I would recommend buying this garbage disposal.
