Not what I expected

I was hoping for background noise canceling. The Aware mode enhances the background white noise level of the machinery around me

Work great but headphone piece broke off and got stuck in my ear

I run a paver and you can hear the music and talk in the phone just fine. And still be able to hear surroundings. Only thing I didn’t like is the ear bud the broke and got stuck in my ear. It broke at the plastic piece where it’s treaded into the ear piece. Took some doing to get it out of my ear.

They are a pleasure to use and exceedingly simple. However the insanely loud screeching beep upon powering on and off is unnecessary and unpleasant. I've learned to avoid it but why is it there? The proaware also tends to pick up on high pitched sounds more than anything and all I can hear is the amplified sounds of the fans and industrial ovens at work that are 100 yards away over the coworker 3 feet in front of me. ISOtunes Pro Aware

So far so good.

Not a huge fan.

I had such high hopes for these after 4-5 years of use out of my Pro model. But the aware technology just isn’t there yet. I work in a noisy environment and they were constantly turning on and off, with a clicking sound, and they picked up the background noise, fans, so all I got was a lot of static, no matter what setting I set the aware to. I like the overall construction and they they’d work great if the tech in them gets a little better!

Much less value than I expected for the price

This is my first experience with ISOtunes products. I purchased the ISOtunes pro Aware product, but I don't get much benefit from the Aware technology. Doesn't mask much noise from my saws, hammer drill, and impact driver, not matter the Aware setting. The annoying noises I want to mask are still very loud, sometimes even louder, depending on where I am in relation to the tools making the noise. Also, the foam 'buds' don't fit well; maybe that's part of the problem. I will say they function well...

Like them, but one little wrinkle...

... bought these as every day carry buds, but was looking forward to the Aware feature. Also hoping they reduce droning engine noise on planes when I travel. So far I love the foam tips, the formed ear loops. The great sound without Aware turned on. Unfortunately, when Aware is turned on there is low level white noise (I can live with that) and with any ambient environmental noise it turns into little static-y pops. Not an upgrade

Worked well at first. The 'aware' technology was great for the jobsite, was able to hear background noise and conversation with great hearing protection when things got noisy. Unfortunately, the product quality is inferior to the Pro 2.0. Some materials are not as durable. Customer service was solid, they provided a free replacement when my usb plug cover refused to remain closed. Then, the replacement pair stopped turning on after 2 months. Picks up the sounds around you very well. Bluetooth works well. The problem is when mowing, you hear a constant “clicking” from the microphone turning on to grasp surrounding sounds and turning off from the decibel level of the mower.

Amazing

These are a live saver at work. They perform better than I would have ever guessed. Normal ambient noises are clear and blocks out any loud noise instantly.

Very difficult to get good fit no matter which size of foam ear plug

I tried every size of ear plug and could not get a comfortable fit. The smaller ones were difficult to get a very good seal and when forcing the larger ones in became very uncomfortable in a very short time. They seem to function fairly good but getting a comfortable fit seems impossible.

Pro Aware

I’m very satisfied with my new pro aware ear protection ear buds. I would however like a little more volume when listening to music while mowing my lawn or working in my wood shop. I’m very aware of conversations going on around me. The ear buds stay in my ears, unlike the previous isotope ear buds I had before. I like the clip provided and the way they hook around my ears.

Sound much to low. Aware System very disturbing

I like the product, how it is build and how it fits. The noise reduction is ok, but never as good as in the promovideo. Then the sound volume is much to low. You can't listen to music or any podcast if there is just a little noise around you. You just don't hear anything or very low. It did try a volume booster app, but then the speakers just overdrive. The Aware system is just pretty useless. It's a nice concept, but it doesn't work well at all. Just a little wind blowing or even poeple tal...

Almost Perfect- would definitely recommend

First off, I love these headphones. Great audio, hearing protection, comfort, and I've gotten no complaints on call quality. The gripes- the aware function doesn't handle wind well, it gets pretty noisy when you're on a roof, in equipment, etc. Also, the charging cover plug never remains closed on mine, so I'm a little worried about how it will fare in the PNW winters. Almost 5 stars!!

Best ear protection

These are by far the best headphone/ear protection I have found. I work in a fabrication shop and I am able to listen to music while still being able to hear what is goin on around me!

Great Idea Needs Work

I had been eyeing the Isotunes Free for a while as they had been well reviewed by fellow contractors. When I saw the Isotunes Aware product was coming out I was excited to purchase them because of the active noise canceling feature. After using them for about 3 weeks I’m underwhelmed. The Aware feature is so buggy I end up just shutting it off. I like that I can put them in and still hear my coworkers but then when someone starts a saw they freak out and instead of shutting off active listening ...

Bluetooth problems

I continually lose Bluetooth connection with the Aware headsets. I have 2 pair with the same issue. I will be sending them back to Isotunes for a refund. I gave it 2 stars for the design.

Nice

The headphones work well as described. I work in a factory setting so I can’t use the aware part most times of the day. These will be great at the firing range and good to use during the next big deer hunt. My only complaint is the large dongles on both sides takes a little getting used to.

Another great addition

I love my frees & now the pro aware’s . Just super awesome products from isotunes. Absolutely the best job site noise canceling earring protection with great Bluetooth capabilities. An absolutely no Brainer !!

Good, not perfect

These fit great (they have several different size ear pieces), the quality is really good and they are comfortable 9I almost forgot I had them in while I was mowing the yard). My issue is that the stop/play button doesn't seem to work as advertised - it may be me. I have some more expreimenting to do before I call support about it.
