Works Great

Used these to remove 3 badly rusted bolts for a Jeep front wheel bearing. Bolts were rusted to the point that regular sockets would just spin without any effort. I had to hammer one of these sockets on, as you try to loosen the bolt the socket bites into the bolt head. Recommended.

Shock mount bolts are no match

I had the pleasure of replacing the shocks on my Jeep Wrangler little did I know the rear upper mount bolts were known to be a bear. I rounded off all but one of the bolt heads. Purchased these at Lowe’s and they are the best tool I have purchased in the past couple years. Amazing tool.

Wasn't exactly what we needed, but we made it work

We have some very stuck bolts on an older vehicle. We thought this would work to expedite our efforts, and it did, but not without a LOT of effort. We did strip out some of the interior, but, they got the job done.

i went to change my pools pump motor and 3 of the 4 bolts holding the mounting bracket came out without too much trouble despite almost completely falling apart from rusting away. I was glad lowe had this. At first, all I found was Craftsman extractor set, which wasn't big enough for the bolt I was trying to get loose.

This isn't a long review. All that needs to said is that these extractors did exactly what I needed them to do. They are easy to use & got the job done fast!

Very sceptical at first - Not anymore!

There are many. many, "greatest tools" on earth out there. They make big claims, but few deliver. THIS TOOL DELIVERS! I had a bolt that was completely rusted down and rounded off due to road salt exposure. I dreaded the fact it had to be removed. I thought for a great period of time about ways to get it out. Life saver!!!!!!

I rounded 2 bolts on my flywheel yesterday and I spent nearly 2 hours trying everything I could think of to get them out before I called it a night. I picked the set up this morning and within 5 minutes in my garage I had both bolts out and flywheel off. BEST $20 I’VE EVER SPENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great tool.

Of course I'm giving it a great rating. This little tool was going to get a brake bleeder out or I was going to get a new caliper. I was under time pressure to get the job done. Short story was "success"!!!!

Bolt Extractor

Worked the first time on a bolt head that was not easily accessible.

Didn't work

The bolt was very stubborn to say the least..I stripped out 2 extractors trying to get it out to no avail. Had to weld on nut and was able to remove it.

I had to replace a broken motor mount on my Honda and it was in a tough location. Got one bolt out with a lot of effort. Of course the other wouldn't budge and the head rounded. I tried heating it up, JB welding a socket to it, PB Blaster (always) beating a smaller socket onto it, using a standard instead of metric. NOTHING worked and I was about to give up and put it back together. I decided to research some tools and found this at LOWES in stock. Used the 14MM and got it out with a break...

Did the job, but sheared

This did the job and removed the caliper mount bolt using the 13mm socket. It did however shear the inside of the socket on the first use.

Worked first time, what a money saver!

Bought this to remove a rounded oil drain plug that was way too tight to start with, and all I gotta say is after beating the socket onto the drain plug and putting a 3/8 breaker bar on it, the plug came loose on the first try! I would highly recommend these for any rounded bolt or nut.
