Bought on a whim and they are now a permanent addition to my electrical tool set. Was able to back out a rounded head carriage bolt from the easy side of the job. Security fasteners , square bolts no problem. I’m going to get a complete set z Thanks Irwin!

Saved time and worked well.

Worked as it should. Saved a lot of time and heartache trying to get the bolt out. However, make sure you look at the size for what you need. The sizes skip a couple of different ones that most people including myself would assume would be in the pack. Luckily the size I needed was not the one skipped.

I used this product to remove a stripped oil pan bolt. It worked well!

I am so grateful that this tool exists! I just put together my GTO motor and a cheap brass fitting wouldn’t come out. Instead if buying a whole new oil pump housing I went to lowes and found this godsend. Best tool in my toolbox!!

held a rounded 14mm i couldn't get a pair of visegrips to hold without popping off immediately. highly recommend.

Great Product!--Great Deal!

I had a locking lug nut on a trailer and didn't have a key for it. Nothing I tried worked. Everyone I asked, had no answers. I saw a guy that I used to work with that I knew bought and sold trailers. I stopped and asked him what he used. He told me about these Bolt Extractors I could get at Lowes. He told me to fit it on the lug nut. Tap it with a hammer to seat it and then turn it with the four way lug wrench. In less than a minute I had it off! Best tool I have bought in years!

Removed the bolt that was keeping me up at night

Air intake manifold bolt, tucked under the manifold, 10mm, could not get it off. Every attempt rounded it off more. I was skeptical, but the Irwin Bolt-Grip got it off. Be sure to tap it down as flush as possible with the damaged bolt before you go to remove it. $20 well spent.

The Only Set You Need!

I have a 2 different aftermarket lugnut remover tool kits with all kinds of different styles of sockets. A customer had aftermarket lugnuts and had lost the key. I was struggling with every different tool I had to get a grip. The customer had bought this kit and offered it for me to try. Wow! I can throw my other two kits away now, these are the bomb!

One-use item?

I had two bolts on my car that were tight & the heads stripped. I went to Lowe's and found the Irwin bolt extractors. They looked like they could to the job, with several methods to turn the stripped bolt.(socket, Crescent wrench, etc.). The one I used did hole onto the stripped bolt and easily got it loose. But the next one just would not "grab" as easily as the first. I looked at the gripping flutes that "bite" into the bolt and I saw that with the first use had worn the sharpness off the extr...

Got into a tight spot with an AC compressor's bold that had stripped..NO PROBLEM for this extractor. Was really impressed with how well it worked.

The socket worked well. I was able to remove 3 bolts that had rounded corners and were very rusty.

It works!

I foolishly rounded my car's oil drain plug using a 12-point socket. After trying several unsuccessful alternative methods, I gave this bolt extractor set a shot. It worked! I wish I would have tried this first.
