Irwin Punches

Picked up this set for working on firearms. No complaints.

Worked perfectly on door hinge pins.

I was a bit skeptical at first, on whether the length of the pins were sufficient in knocking out the hinge pins of our doors. It worked enough so that I could pull the rest of the pin out. I cannot imagine doing that again without these things. The hammer I used did chip off some of the paint surface on the punch, but, I think it was to be expected.

Good sturdy punches

The smallest punch is susceptible to bending if too much force is applied. I don’t see any situation where a tremendous amount of force is needed using the smallest punch, so I should be ok. Other punches are great.

This punch will knock you out!

Bought this set to knock out a bent axle bolt on my Mower deck. It worked great! Thank you Lowes and Irwin!

Irwin punch set

Loved these! Used them for my ar-15 build and they worked beautifully. Had every size I needed.

Very good set of center punches by Irwin

I purchased these pin, or center, punch tools to stop cracking every piece of wood I was inserting screws, bolts, or nails into. They work and are very durable, but Irwin's QA department needs to ensure all the punches are machined straight. They are still extremely useful, and the first usage, a center punch to guide a hook into a pole, worked like a champ. I would buy these again.

Durable and useful assortment

I was initially disappointed in the selection in store of punches (not really sold individually), and reluctantly purchased this set. Ultimately, the assortment came in handy as I found that I needed to use several different sizes during my project. The paint may have chipped a little from my hammer, but they structurally showed no wear (not even the slightest abrasions to the metal itself).

Works as advertised. Not too much I could say about a basic punch set. I did bend 2 though.

It’s okay I guess for the price

Got these to help me punch a pin out for one of my rifles while I was tapping on it the lunch broke off in the whole I was tapping and now a 5 min job requires me to take it to a gun smith to fix the damage
