What Customers Are Saying
The RJ45 ethernet connectors are generally considered high-quality and reliable. Most users report the connectors are easy to install, function as intended, and provide a secure connection. Many highlight the connectors' durability and ability to withstand moderate stress without breaking. Some also note the clear color-coding, which aids proper wiring. However, a few customers experienced issues with defective connectors or poor fit. While a small number felt the connectors were overpriced, the overall feedback is positive, and most users seem satisfied with the product's performance and quality.

Work Great - Overpriced
Would Not RecommendThey work as they should, but are very overpriced for such a common piece of plastic. Here's what I used mine for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIalp_w4qrk&t=43s

RJ45s that really RJ45!
Would RecommendI am so glad that Lowes carries these. When I asked the guy in the area, he didn't think you carried them. We looked for them together and didn't find them. I was so bummed because that meant that I would either have to hunt them down at another store (good luck with that in Franklin, IN) or order them online and put mu project on hold. I decided go go back to the aisle one last time before I headed to checkout and as if God himself had smiled down on Lowes of Franklin (and me) there they we...
Connectors performed just fine
Would RecommendNot sure about the negative reviews on these connectors as the first two cables I terminated worked just fine. Perhaps the negative reviews were from people who did not know what they were doing. If you have any problems, Lowes will take them back anyway.
Hi Nick I appreciate the review the connectors do get easier after making a few of them. Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.comWas this Review Helpful ?
Sam sorry to hear you had some issues. From your pictures it looks like there are some of our Cat 6 plugs mixed in with the Cat 5e plugs. The Cat 6 a...
The manufacter really screwed up.
Would Not RecommendThey made the jack too big and it won't fit any RJ45 port. I have been building Ethernet cables for over 15 years and this is the first time I run into this problem.

These are great for making your own patch cords
Would RecommendVery easy once you properly prepare your cords. Checkout the online videos and buy the crimping tool. The all in one I bought made the job so much faster and easier. You really cannot finish the job without the tool. I was running new home wired system to handle faster speeds of streaming videos and DVR transfers between units. All in home wireless are still "n" not new super fast "ac". Being able to make my own length cords made spaghetti easier to work with when shorter cords needed.
ppcinfi yes I think about anyone with a little practice and the right tools can make a modular plug termination. Ethernet allows up to 100 meters or ...
Worked!
Would RecommendI had purchased a quantity of connectors on line from Amazon and kept getting failures. I repalced my ends with these and have had no problems!

Ignore the Morons
Would RecommendThis is a really good product. Search YouTube for three-piece rj45 jack and you'll see someone has made an excellent video on how to use this product. Make sure you have ALL the right tools and you'll be making patch cables in no time.
Good product, but costs are through the roof.
Would Not RecommendI have purchased many rj45 ends. These are by far the most expensive. I paid almost twice as much for these 25 ends as I normally do for 100 ends at other places.
Contacts don't pierce wires correctly
Would Not RecommendThese plugs would be great if the gold-plated blades inside the plug would pierce the wire insulation on center. I connected everything properly, triple-checked, and got no signal several times in a row. I don't doubt others had success, and perhaps these were a bad batch, but I am frustrated and will be trying another brand. For what it's worth, I used Ideal's crimp tool and standard Cat5E and Cat6 cables-- neither could be terminated properly. In the photo, you can see that the whole line of c...

Decent product
Would RecommendFunny thing ... I needed more then 25 of these for a recent job... Buying 2 packs of 25 cost about 4 bucks less then buying 1 pack of 50.

Hi Kevin sorry you had trouble finding them in the store. I tell most people with a little practice and knowing the color code for the wires these pl...
