Nice quiet fan

I installed this myself and while it wasn't hard it did take quite a bit of time. I am just a do it yourself kind of person without much experience with electrical things so I didn't know to label the wiring when I took out the old fixture. There were 4 cables going into the outlet box, nothing like they show on YouTube. I'm guessing it was wired in series. Unhappy with Hunter Fan

Just got a real education with the Hunter Fan Company about a ceiling fan that I bought 4 years ago. The motor has gone bad and their website talks all about their lifetime warranty on their fan motors. I called them and their response is you need a new wiring harness--it's NOT the motor. The harness is $15.00 + shipping...."I'm sorry but the wiring harness is on back order but we can send you one when we have them." I said "what about the lifetime warranty?" 2 Good one Bad, (lost medium and high speeds)

I bought 3 of these fans, one for each bedroom. 2 are still working fine after 3 years. However the one in my son's bedroom has lost the medium and high speeds and only spins to low. This one is used to most. The other 2 are in a guest bedroom and office. Not under warrentee anymore and not worth the money to fix. Hunter Ridefield 2; 44in. White Ceiling Fan

Modern and clean appearance that enhances the appearance for any small room in a home. Easy to complete project and install. The light kit especially is well designed with a wiring connector which easily plugs into the mating socket and simplifies installation, unlike other fans with a number of separate wires that require a more difficult manual wiring configuration. It exhibits excellent stability with very little noise and performs well for 10x10 to 12x12 rooms. Excellent design.

Super Quiet

This fan is super quiet, like they claim it is. They use quieting techniques, rubber grommets, etc., but also the fan appears to spin slower than other ceiling fans. I would compare the fast speed on this fan to the medium speed on another ceiling fan in the house. I still love it, but consider the slower speed when deciding on how big a fan to buy. It was a replacement for an existing noisy fan, so the installation was easy, with clear directions.

BEAUTIFUL FAN/LIGHT

I had to replace my bedroom fan/light and was having a hard time picking one I liked as none of them seemed to have everything I needed. I knew I wanted a white fan and picked out this one. I had it installed yesterday and so far I love it. It is so fresh looking and I love the frosted glass. I was worried about the light bulbs as they were smaller looking candelabra base bulbs. I had nothing to worry about. My normally dark 12x13 room couldn't be any better lit. Its almost too bright :) ...

Love it!

I bought this fan to replace another brand that I had purchased earlier this year from another store and it went bad! This one is super quiet & even though it didn't come with a remote, I purchased a universal one and it works wonderful! The only "gripe" so far that I had was the battery for the remote was dead so I had to use the one from my garage door opener to make sure it worked. I have a hunter fan in my bedroom & love it. I need to replace my ceiling fan in my living room & that one will ...

Two tries - no good

Bought and installed by electrician in10/15. Lights blew in 11/15. Sent a new wiring harness and reinstalled by another electrician. Blew lights again in 12/15. Sent a whole new fan with a "varister" or surge protector which they say was necessary in certain areas(?) 9/16 blew lights again. I'm dumping it ang going with another company.

Still running!

Still running with NO problems after 5-6 years. I love Hunter fans. Now shopping for two more. Just wish I could find same fan in larger size.

Good value - a couple of caveats & one tip

Nice fan, good value. Typical Hunter install - relatively easy. Two caveats: 1. This is NOT a flush mount fan. It does come with a short downrod, but the motor does not mount flush to the ceiling. Should be okay for an 8' ceiling, not good for shorter rooms. 2. Throw away the two 3" brass colored mounting screws. They suck and will strip if you try to drive them into anything solid. Some excellent Features, very quiet but problems

Got the first one of these, installation took an hour, not including removing the old fan. Had a buzz as others have mentioned, figured out it was the Dimmer that shouldn't be there. Replaced that with a switch. Turned the fan on and let it run while I cleaned up. Within a minute or so the motor started making a wap wap noise. The fan wasn't wobbling or hitting anything, the noise was from the motor. Took it back to Lowes and exchanged it, I got the same model because of the excellent reviews. S...

5 Minute fan

On the plus side this fan looks really nice was easy to install. That's where I made my mistake. I assumed that the 5 Minute Fan title referred to the installation time not how long it would last. To be fair I installed it in Dec 2014 and it lasted until August 2015. When one light burnt out they all went out. Do not buy this

I only write bad reviews when warranted and if you search through these here, you'll find a few other people who say the light kits break or never work. This problem is known and has been going on for 3 yrs at least. Why don't you fix it Hunter? We saw one box at our Lowe's had been returned, but the overall reviews were positive. A really good deal on a ceiling fan .

I have used these fans in the past, and they always came through for me. They are easy to put up, they look good, and they are very quiet. Almost all of my fans are Hunter fans, and when the last ones crater, I will replace them with this kind of fan, Hunter.
