Beautiful Fan

Fan is beautiful and is doing a wonderful job. Light is not working and I have not had time to open top connection and check the blue wire and see if it failed to stay connected. The blue wire slipped out on me or the lite kit connection plug did not snap together completely is most likely the problem. If not I am 100% sure Lowes will make it good.

Easy install

This was an easy install, outstanding instructions and perfectly balanced blades. Did have balancing parts but not necessary.

We buy Hunter fans nowadays

We have had a mix of store brand and Hunter fans in the past, but I appreciate that Hunters are packaged better with parts individually bagged according to assembly steps, plus the instructions are very thorough with great illustrations. This model was what I have grown to expect (except as noted below). The finish on the fan was very nice and we expect that it will give us many years of untroubled service. Great fan for small room

Perfect for the room we put it in. Runs quiet and works great using the special switch we added to adjust both light and fan speed.

Bad light kit

purchased fan cause of looks but replacing fan for second time cause light kit burns out bulbs and then stops working. The fan itself still works on both occasions I had issues. Still had power going to wire harness but lights won't work. Can't explain it. Again fan still works though. first fan purchased 4/2017 replaced 7/2017. Back again 10/2018. Lowes is kind to look after customers satisfaction on the products they carry. thanks lowes. continued customer

brand new ceiling fan with lights that do not work

I have installed a new hunter model 51070 item # 181578 and the fan works but the lights do not. I went back to the store which let me exchange a new light assembly as putting the fan up is difficult. the new light assembly also did not work. this is the second time I have had this problem with hunter fans. I would not recommend this to any individual.

Do your research

I purchased 3 of these fans along with a Hunter Winchester fan. After I paid an electrician to install them, I discovered my existing wall switches would not change the speed of the fans. Never occurred to me to check on that since the old fans worked perfectly. Now I discover you have to have a Hunter wall switch, at a cost of $72 each to make them work.
