What Customers Are Saying
The Hunter ceiling fan has a mixed reception. Customers praised its attractive design, quiet operation, and good airflow. However, many reported issues with the light kit, including bulbs burning out quickly and lights not working. Some also found the installation more challenging than the advertised 5-minute claim. While the fan offers good value, the recurring lighting problems appear to be a significant drawback for prospective buyers to consider.

Would RecommendI bought this fan today for my kitchen and love it so far! I don't know how or why it is described as a 5 minute installation, because it wasn't. However, my husband installed it so no sweat off my back. My only concern was the light bulbs not being bright enough. So I replaced them with 60 watt CFL bulbs and they work great! This is the perfect fan for my kitchen. Also thinking about buying this fan for my bedroom.
Great Quality.......Hunter is The Best
Would RecommendThis fan was easy to install. It does take over 5 minutes. The fan blades go on very nicely. The fan is quiet smooth and sound quality. I would never get anything but a Hunter! Highle recommended!
Do not buy this fan
Would Not RecommendThe 5 minute fan took 2 hours. The only thing quicker is the blades. I would like to see a Guinness Book of World records on this I'm sure it would take more than 5 minutes. It took 10 minutes to get it out of the box. Here the clincher. Look closely at the lights it takes. They do not make florescents for them so you need another fan to cool of the lights from this fan.
the smaller fan
Would Recommend5 minute install it ain't, but good looking for the price. The lights only have a one-way switch meaning they are on or off. And those 60W bulbs get the globes hot enough to cook the rubber bands around them so I swapped them with 40W where possible. I bought three of these to replace my 52" and they make the rooms look larger and are just as efficient at moving air because they aren't hugging the ceiling like my old ones did. One thing I don't like is the insulating chain clasp on the switches....
Nice, elegant, and quiet
Would RecommendThis fan is a sure winner. Put it in all my bedrooms and it looks and works great.
Good ceiling fan for the value
Would RecommendI bought two of these fans for my two spare bedrooms (about 100 square feet each). I used the darker blade color in one of the rooms and the lighter blade color in the other. It definitely did not take 5 minutes to assemble and install, but it took much less time than another fan I installed in the living room. Of course, installing the same fan in the second room took less time as I was already familiar with the setup by that point. The fan is easy enough to operate and I feel I got an appropri...

easy to install, looks great
Would RecommendI installed 3 of these fans in my house. I love the way they look and they were very easy to install COMPARED to a fan that was not pre-assembled. They still took about an hour to install, but most of that time went towards taking down the old fans. One of our light bulbs did burn out after a couple of days, but that is not a major concern to me. I had assumed the light bulbs they come with are not of great quality. For the price, this fan is hard to beat.
A product that works!
Would RecommendAfter reading reviews about concerns on the locking blades and quality, I gave Harbor Breeze another shot. Worst choice I have made in a long time! Long story short, the Harbor Breeze fan went out in under 10 minutes and is now back at Lowes and this Hunter is looking and working great in my bedroom! My husband and I installed it fairly quickly considering we had to take the old one down and the mounting brackets were completely different....around an hour, start to finish. I liked how the desig...
So far... so good.
Would RecommendWe purchased one of these for our office.. when we first installed it (had an electrician do it for us), we did get a burning rubber smell within 40 minutes. I called Hunter directly.. they told me it had to do with a new piece to control wattage called a Luminator. They sent me a new light kit for free. Electrician came back today and put up the new light kit... after 40 minutes, same smell. Called the company back - another lady told me it was the white rubber bands on the top of the glass dom...
PRETTY FAN......but 5 Minutes??
Would RecommendNot so much 5 minutes, even for someone who's put up seven fans in my home. I believe that refers to the ease of which the fan blades snap on, which actually takes less than five minutes; however, I would be more impressed if the machine screws would fit in the predrilled holes of the base! 2 out of 3 would not go, and after about an hour and a half, I ended up searching through my own screws that would work. This aggravating detail does not change my overall review of this fan.....which is to s...
Burning Smell Coming From Both Fans
Would Not RecommendI purchased two of these fans about a month ago and they both have a burning smell coming from them. I thought they would be good fans for the price but I am not pleased with the odor that is coming from the fans. I had a technician from Lowes to install the fans. Additionally, I had the technicians install other fans in my home and they are working fine. I would think twice before purchasing one of these fans.
