I bought this generator due to the PG&E shut downs in northern California this year . The manual provides insufficient information on how best to use the eco mode. Even googling it online did not educate me enough on how to apply eco mode during a power outage.

Quiet generator
Things to know- it weighs 261 lbs., you will need to purchase 3 quarts of 10-30 oil. 1.1 quarts for first 20 hours of break in period, then change oil. You will have to attach the axle, wheels and feet. Having a cherry picker and strap to elevate it makes it easy. The battery is not connected, and you will find the connection bolts taped to the battery and not in the package that has the other hardware.The generator is far superior and quieter than other same power generators I have owned.

I now realize why HONDA Products are held in such high esteem. Honda has not let me down! Comparatively, this is an expensive machine. However, it is built well, solid, quiet, and Honda has thought carefully about the care as well. I have 170 hours on the generator and have changed the oil 2x. The engineers were considerate in the design of the machine and made the draining and filling of oil very convenient. I'm hoping the longevity compares to the other excellent qualities of this generator.

In my EU7000IS, I have a problem with my 7000IS generator, it says 120v 240v and when I turn it ON it generates 126V 252V. Is this the problem?? Please guide me

New Honda generator
Just traded in my perfectly fine EU 3000 is for a new EU 7000 due to need for higher capacity and 220 volt service. Nothing beats this Honda for smooth quiet operation. Cost over twice what other generators of similar size cost, but well worth it.
