Huge mess, terrible outcome

Should be discontinued, worse product I've ever used

Absolute Garbage!

Wasted over $60 on two cans of this crap and it barely covered a 4sqft area. Chunky with globs everywhere, most of the product ended up just oozing out the can and onto the floor. What a disaster, please do the community a favor and discontinue this product line.

Garbage

Do not buy this product. It is garbage. First, if you follow the instructions and spray from 20-30” away, you will receive a foamy plaster shower. The propellant in the can shoots the material maybe 8-12”. And yes, this is after the one minute (timed with a clock!) of vigorous shaking. Holding it closer does allow the material to hit the ceiling, and it sticks moderately well. Hugh disappointment

1 $28 can will cover MAYBE a 2 ft square area. What a huge ripoff. Please don’t waste your money on this! For what it would cost me to spray a small bathroom I could have hired a drywall company. Lowe’s would be better served to not carry this product!

Waste of money

I've tried their products a few times when in a pinch or a really small job. It's never worked, orange peel, knock down, they all look like crap. But this one takes the cake out of all of them. The can says to hold it 12 to 18 in away, but after about 3 seconds it only sprays two or three inches out of the nozzle. And what comes out of it isn't even popcorn texture, it's just lumpy watery goo that doesn't even stick to the ceiling. About 3/4 of the can is on my ladder and drop cloth at this poin...

Absolutely a resounding NO.

Take notice of the reviews. These folks have included photos which are spot on accurate. Product is a farce. There is no way you will get a finished product that you would be satisfied with, especially after spending the better part of 30 bucks for it. Full disclosure: I am a well seasoned guy VERY proficient in home repairs, and I am shocked this product is even on the shelves at Lowes.. Nope. Homax should be ashamed.

Poor product

Not a great product. Difficult to use. Coverage area not met

Junk

Had two small drywall patches to repair did the first one and went to do the second one and nozel was completely clogged. Followed the instructions to clear the nozel and this did nothing. Went back and bought a second can to finish the job sprayed it for a second and stopped and then that can was completely clogged. Now I am going back to the store to buy the quart of premixed to finish the job. Never buy any of these canned products complete waste of money and time!

Failed product idea

I should have gone off the rest of the bad reviews, but watched videos with tips that made it look like this would work. Long story short, it was a miserable fail. Opted for the much cheaper tub and used a short paint brush, and had much much much better results.

Terrible garbage

I wish I had read reviews beforehand. Stuff barely drips out and certainly not enough to cover 8 square feet like it says. It feels like there's half a can in there still but won't propel out. The nozzle clogs and won't unclog anymore no matter how much you shake it. Waste of money and this stuff isn't cheap!

Easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ceiling texture is extremely easy to use. We had to redo part of our bedroom ceilings in our basement that already was textured so we had to make it match. This product made it super easy to do so. It was a little messy, but once you got the hang of it - it went quickly after that. It matched our previous ceilings and matched up perfect where we had to patch. Very pleased with this product.

WORTH IT!!!! NOT TRASH

So we tried the stuff that came in the tub because we're not going to pay the money for this little spray....... Lol The stuff in the tub is nothing compared to this spray. The spray gives you immediate results, quality, and it sticks. Did not work as stated on can..

Followed all instructions on the can. Shook can upside down for well over 1 min. Low pressure and barely reach the ceiling at 12" not even close at 20". What came out was like a can of silly string, but silly string shoots further. The nozzle built up with excess p[rodu8ct in a matter of seconds. Can not recommend.

Do Not Buy!!

Like other people state, this HOMAX product does not deliver as promised. At $$ per can/ounce, its not worth the cost, frustration, and horrible results [if you can get it to work right]. This is not a professional product as its name suggests. Its a marketing gimmick! No contractor would spend their time with this lousy product After following the instructions precisely... including the small sticker that states to shake upside-down for one minute and one more before turning upright... shooting...

Good product

Purchased four cans. Three were good. The fourth had a defective sprayer. Went to spray and the contents exited around the trigger. Will return for a replacement, but has added time to the finished job.

Worst popcorn texture ever

This popcorn texture looks nothing like the picture on the can. It could not have been tested by the manufacturer because the picture on can cannot be replicated with this product. Popcorn texture does not exist in this $28 can of garbage. It looks like I just squirted silly string on my ceiling. It is so bad it ruined the area around it and I had to scrape it all off. It’s been many years since I’ve bought such a deceptive product but it’s happed now. This deserves class action status. Lawyers...

Work fast!

That it's literal about 'when you start spraying, you have to spray continuously' because it's not joking. Even though we prepped the area for spray in advance, just the act of darting across a 10x10 room was enough time for the spray nozzle to get blocked up and it didn't spray right at all. I read the directions and followed them but given how this product has no room for error, I think that should make that very clear on the packaging.
