extremely wet

This product seemed to be extremely wet. Ended up having to spread multiple thin layers. Then, the consistency of the "popcorn" was much less than what was on my ceiling. Had to purchase a spray repair product to cover it.

Perfect match

I used this in my garage to match the existing popcorn ceiling. It is a perfect match.

Easy to use

This stuff is pretty easy to use. It doesn't match the rest of the ceiling perfectly, but it's definitely close enough. If you need perfection, you'd probably be paying someone anyway. It's unlikely anyone will ever notice it the in the area we covered.

WORKED AS EXPECTED

I used this to touchup my high ceiling and used the brush method. In some areas I had to use two coats but it does dry almost white in 24 hours. Much better than trying to use the spray cans.

Buy this, not the spray can

I wasted $10 on the spray kind that starts blue and supposedly turns white when dry (half of it turned green-white and the other half stayed blue). So I went back and bought this. It looks like oatmeal, is easy to apply, and drys white (above my expectations, thought I would have to paint). AND IT IS CHEAPER.

Where's the Popcorn?

Way too thin. Really thin. Consistency almost like paint. The popcorn is nearly non- existent. Goes on practically smooth. When it is dry it has a gray tint and does not match the white ceiling. Not even worth 1 star.

Good Product - You just need patience!

I spent time before purchasing this product reading reviews and helpful tips. I can't stress enough, patience is your friend when using this. None of us really like popcorn ceilings but alas, more times than not it's much cheaper to repair than to completely scrape off. I used a foam brush and light tapped the areas I needed to patch. This stuff is super

Bought to patch a popcorn ceiling and it worked great - two application a day apart, primed with Kilz Latex primer and you cannot even see the patch - no cover coat needed. I am super pleased. Highly recommend.

Make sure to mix it

It’s ok, but I have not found any better way to fix a popcorn ceiling.

Sloppy, Gloppy Repair

Product is somewhat difficult to work with. Definitely messy with much protective coverings needed. With a lot if patience it will eventually get the job done, but I found the biggest challenge is getting more bumps to appear.

Works takes some effort

My home has old popcorn ceilings, trying to refinish multiple areas that had drywall repairs. Homax 1 Quart Ready-To-Use Popcorn Ceiling Patch

Had a crack in the ceiling and was looking for a quick and cheap fix to patch it up until i want to pay to have it done right. When you first apply it, it will be more of a cream color, but once dry, it is a little more white. I may try another application this weekend and paint to see if it covers up better.

Great product for home improvement projects

My girlfriend and I picked this up at Lowe’s in order to patch a piece of ceiling that was bare and lifeless. Let me tell you, Homax Popcorn Ceiling Patch did the trick! Now, the bare patch above my shower in the bathroom looks as good as new!
